It is garbage that:
"The preservative is commonly added to ear, eye and nose drops; eye makeup; antiseptic sprays; and soap-free cleansers." Suggest readers visit stores shelves and read ingredient labels to se for themselves. This article has no credibility. |

Some Mercury Facts;
0.5 parts per billion (ppb) mercury = Kills human neuroblastoma cells (Parran et al., Toxicol Sci 2005; 86: 132-140). 2 ppb mercury = U.S. EPA limit for drinking water 20 ppb mercury = Neurite membrane structure destroyed (Leong et al., Neuroreport 2001; 12: 733-37). 200 ppb mercury = level in liquid the EPA classifies as hazardous waste based on toxicity characteristics. 25,000 ppb mercury = Concentration of mercury in multi-dose, Hepatitis B vaccine vials, administered at birth from 1991-2001 in the U.S. 50,000 ppb mercury = Concentration of mercury in multi-dose DTaP and Haemophilus B vaccine vials, administered 8 times in the 1990’s to children at 2, 4, 6, 12 and 18 months of age and currently “preservative” level mercury in multi-dose flu, H1N1 meningococcal and tetanus vaccines. This can be confirmed by simply analyzing the multi-dose vials. |

Ethylmercury (the type found in vaccines) like methylmercury is a short-chain alkylmercury compound. Both types are readily distributed to the brain. The problem with ethylmercury is that once in the brain, it rapidily converts to Hg++. This type of mercury remains permanently trapped and has been identified as the form responsible for dengenerative brain disease. In a recent study, it was shown that twice as much Hg++ remained in the brains of baby primates exposed to thimerosal in vaccines as opposed to equal doses of ingested methylmercury. Blood levels really don't matter in this case.

And where are your facts coming from, Jorge? |

Jorge, what I love about this site is that it provides a source for all its assertions; the uses of thimerosal that you question is sourced from here:
http://dermnetnz.org/dermatitis/thiomersal-al... What's your source for saying its wrong ? |

The content of thimerosal in a dose of H1N1 vaccine is 5 ug. The maximum intake of mercury allowed for pregnant women is about 100 ug per week (for a woman weighting about 10 stones).

Was/is thimerosal used in allergy injections?
|
|
|
I had an allergic reaction (itchy, red, burning eyes) to a saline solution for contact lenses that contained thimerosal way back in the 80's & have subsequently never had a flu vaccine because of the fear of an allergic reaction to it. I would really like to get the H1N1 vaccine this year.
I called my doctor's office & they, of course, said no, because they don't want the liability-should I get it anyway? |

What are the allergic reactions to Thimerosal for adults. I was allergic to it when they used it for contacts years ago. After getting seasonal flu shot last October (2009) the muscle in my arm is still sore. I have had two MRIs and they want to do another. Call CDC and FDA and they give me the government run around.

I had an allergic reaction to Thimerosal years ago with contact lense solution. I received a flu shot, only the second one I have ever gotten, yesterday. Today my arm is extremely swollen & hot to the touch. I'm really not worried about that, I think it will go away. But, I have been sick & vomiting today. Does anyone know if that could possibly be a reaction? Thanks for any help!

since jan 2010 i have been breaking out with a rash/swollen/puss/lil bumps on my lips. my PCP said it was a form of Herpes and loaded me on 4 different meds then sent me to dermo who said it was stress and loaded me on 2 more meds then finally got referred to allergist(after having to go to ER due to swollen lips)October 2010 and found out im allergic to Thimerosal. they tested 6 different chapsticks on me and found im allergic to Carmax also (so far).just thought someone would find this interesting.

The much anticipated Genome Project found children with autism has genetic mutation the did not originate with their parents. So what happens between birth and 3 years old that might cause genetic mutation? I'll give you a hint, its not breast feeding. Vaccines not only contain thimerasol (mercury) they also contain aluminum. These two metals are more danderous when linked. They are both endocrine disruptors like bisphenal A, meaning its plausible they can cause gender confusion. Both are neuro toxic, and mercury can cause rash. Most MD's will not recognize its source. Both metals are known to cause spontaneous genetic mutation. Do a search before you challenge what I'm saying. Always do a search. The internet is the great equalizer. Pharma and mainstream medicine hate it because it provides information they used to control through the media.

There is a form of flu vaccine that is produced by the main distributor of the flu vaccine for North America (I'm Canadian and acquire it through my health department ordering it) and it is Thimerosal free. Do try and obtain it and you'll be fine with a flu shot. My realization of the allergy was due to contact lense solutions use in the US and also an Iodine, Gold and Nickel (in irridescent eye makeup) allergies, which are metal allergies as well. Good luck! |
