After 92 days of suffering from daily hives all over my body I finally am cured. I found an article on the Internet suggesting Chronic Hives could be linked to H Pylori, a bacteria. After getting medication to eradicate this bacteria from my body my hives have gone away. If you suffer from chronic hives, for God's sake get tested for H Pylori!

I have had hives for almost a month and there is no known cause. however lukily i asked the dr to test me for h pylori and it came back positive i am still waiting on a stool test to confirm but i will let you know if the hives go away. Mydr seems to think the hives are not related and hpylori doesnt cause hives but i do not agree.

I've had chronic hives for 2 years and I've been refered to specialist after specialist to cure me. 1st gave up artificial sweetener, didn't work. Then gave up certain foods, drinks etc didn't work. Then changed washing products, didn't work. Then had my mirena removed, didn't work. Now having new one inserted because of PMS. Then refered to another specialist to find h pylori. I was treated with antibiotics, didn't work. I'm now at the end of another stronger course of potent antibiotics and I'm full of hope that this will work. I will let you know next week. Here's hoping.

Greetings, beginning in the early 80's I had chronic uticaria. I was hospitalized several times and I was so bad that they took pictures to put in books at the university of washington, seattle. Twice the hives lasted for two years with several shorter bouts in between. I had to sleep with cotton gloves, my feet swelled up so that I couldn't walk.

I desparately started to search the internet in 2003. I found an article describing how 100% of patients in a study of uticaria in Germany were cured by eliminating H pylori.

I went to the doc and he wouldn't hear of it. I changed docs and finally got something called a Prevpac. That killed the H. Pylori and I was cured.

After further study I found that when I got stressed and felt that burning in my gut that if I ate yogurt with live cultures (frozen yogurt to put out the fire) and Manuka Honey,,,, that I could keep it under control naturally.

H. Pylori is everywhere and it can not be eradicated but it can be controlled. Even if you get rid of it, you will get it back again.

I hope this helps someone.

I've had two ulcers, one in 2006 and one in 2010. I've I've been fine since then (did the drug therapy to get rid of h pylori) but do have some issues with my digestion now and then. My doctor sent me to a GI specialist and I had the barium swallow and did an upper GI test. She told me I had a hiatal hernia. I don't really have a lot of bloating and gas anymore and am feeling fine now and I really don't have a lot of acid reflux or heartburn so I am a little skeptical with that diagnosis. A colonoscopy around the same time revealed I had some ulcers in my ileum (final section of my small intestine) but I don't really have any crohn's symptoms really or any major IBS symptoms. Just a little bit of gas & bloating if I eat a lot at one meal. Right now I am feeling fine but I've come down with hives these past couple of months. I don't think I'm allergic to something all of a sudden. After doing some research I've come across some sites that have said that digestion/ulcer problems may cause urticaria if the bacteria is still present. I'm thinking I may still have some h pylori in my system. I have an appt in a couple of days and am hoping to get some answers.
