Actually,this nothing concern about Israel.Truth is that its about one's own lifestyles and the way one goes about it.Sharing of infected needles,free sex between carriers as well as people who already infected with HIV/AIDS virus all contribute to the rising problems.Not to mention also that education or the lack of it has partly to blame.How serious is the government in trying to control this situation?Lastly may I also say,the Malays tend to be more prone to a loose lifestyle than the other major races because the Chinese are too busy spending their time and energy trying to improve their finances in the business world and the Indians are working very hard to improve their lot too.Unfortunately,the Malays have had it so easy for too long now that they have gotten careless about everything,including their own well being.

What's striking is that only 60% of the population of Malaysia is Muslim, so you'd expect 60% of HIV sufferers to be Muslim also. This gives no indication what it is about being Muslim that leads to this (slightly) greater risk, but since virtually all Muslim men are circumcised, it gives the lie to the claim that circumcision helps protect men against HIV.

Overview of HIV/AIDS in Malaysia

The Ministry of Health began reporting HIV/AIDS cases in 1986. Since then, a total of 84,630 HIV infections have been reported in Malaysia and 11,384 people have died from AIDS as at December 31, 2008.

The majority of new HIV infections are found in adults aged 20 to 29 (32.5% of cases in 2003 and 24.9% of cases in 2008) and those aged 30 to 39 (41.8% of cases in 2003 and 42.2% of cases 2008)
HIV is transmitted mainly through injecting drug use (70% of cases in 2003 and 53.2% of cases in 2008) and the number of infections transmitted through heterosexual intercourse has increased from 19% of cases in 2003 to 26.8% of cases in 2008

Although males represent the majority of new HIV cases in Malaysia, the number of HIV+ women has been increasing. Women represented 9.5% of all new cases in 2000, 10.8% of cases 2004, and 19.1% of cases in 2008.

From the total of AIDS patient in Malasya

Malays topped the list with 62,953 cases, Chinese (12,887), Indians (6,929), Bumiputera Sarawak (2,200), Bumiputera Sabah (630), others (478), foreigners (1,298) and the of 535 cases has yet to be determined.

Johor topped the list with 14,600, followed by Selangor (11,859), Kelantan (9,891), Pahang (9,036), Terengganu (8,269), Negeri Sembilan (6,455), Kuala Lumpur (6,604), Perak (5,789), Kedah (5,784), Penang (3,514), Melaka (2,687), Perlis (1,175), Sarawak (1,066) and Sabah (971).
