My passedwy brother had hemophilia. he is the only person who had this in our whole family we know. my quiestion is, are there any possibility to go this with my children? pls answr me.

It is possible, although EXTREMELY vaguely for this to occur. If the mutation in genes occured with him, it is possible that you will not carry the gene, and your children will therefore not have it.
However, it the mutation began with your mother, there is a slim chance that you may be a carrier. Once again, even if it was your mother's gene that defaulted, the chance is very slim of you or your children inheriting it. It is, however, very possible. |

I am in the same situation. There are 2 scenarios in this situation. Either your brother was the mutation or your mother was. If its your brother you have nothing to worry about. If it was your mother than you have a 50/50 shot at having the mutation yourself. Then your children will have the same 50/50 shot at getting the gene from you. The only way you could know for sure is to get a genetic test to see if you posess the gene. Unfortunaly because your brother is no longer alive this is going to very difficult. You need a DNA sample from an affected person in order complete this. You can have an amniocentisis while you are pregnant to see if the baby has the disease but that unfortunatly is the only option you have. Good Luck to you

Hi, please can somebody tell me for my situation, I read I lot for hemophilia but I dont understand . My father haved hemophilia ,he passed away, now my sister is pregnant, whats the chance her baby have this disease.(sorry about my english, but I try :(
