I got food poisoning from eating a cheese steak sandwich with olives at Subway, and I'll never eat there again. It's the most sick I've ever been! It sucked.

I just eat at Subway last night and I've been sick since 4am. I will never, never, eat there again. I had the mini turkey breast sandwick w/mayo. Not sure if it was the mayo or the turkey breast that made me so sick. Never again SUBWAY!!

My girlfriend and I had Subway (Italian BLT) on Sunday and both were sick all Sunday night and I did not get out of bed on Monday. By far the sickest I can remember being in my life and never will return there again.

A friend ate at the same store on Sunday and guess what? They ended up in hospital...

To calm the villagers:

In most cases:

If you have diarrhea as one of your symptoms, it was something you ate 24 hours ago.

If you don't have diarrhea as one of your symptoms, it was something you ate less than 10 hours ago.

It's practically impossible for you to have diarrhea from a food poisoning of less than 16 hours. The bacteria have to have time to reproduce in your GI tract and it takes time, usually 24 hours (give or take 8 hours).

No, I do not work for Subway.

i eat at subway a couple times a week and ive never once gotten sick from it. ive been eating there for years.

oftentimes, when you believe you are sick from something you ate, it was from the day before. Food poison rarely affects someone within a couple hours of eating there.

just because for some reason you were sick is kind of a silly reason to swear off a place. if you think it was food poisioning from them, call the place and let them know. i believe if they get more then two calls they are required to report themselves to the dpt of health and they will do an investigation. you can also contact the dpt of health yourself if you have concerns.

I've also eaten at Subway and been sick many times. Two restaurants in the Minneapolis area--Chanhassen and metro St. Paul. Nasty meat. Never again.

ever think that it's not ALL subways that are like that. it just depends which one you go to, and how that specific one is run. you can get sick at any fast food restraunt.
and yes, i work at a subway, and it's one thats inside of walmart. so we get pretty much all the walmart employees and employees from the stores surrending walmart. not a single one of them have ever complained of getting sick from our food, even though they eat there every day. i eat there every time i work and never get sick. my sister eats there everyday and never gets sick.
we are really careful about our food and how long its been out and when it expires and all that stuff.
maybe the one you went to is different, but that doesnt mean that EVERY SINGLE subway is unhealthy and contaminated.

The whole family ate at a subway on the way from Dallas to San Antonio. It was one of those giant gas station-truck stops-fast food joints all in one building. The entire place was pretty dirty and nasty, but we were starving and figured Subway would be the safest thing.

About 30 hours later I am sick as a dog, then my first daughter is sick as a dog. Later, the next one gets sick. She is actually in the hospital right now because she got too dehydrated and couldn't keep anything down.

I won't be going back to Subway again.

I ate a turkey with lettuce, mayo and olives from subway on Monday afternoon in Lake Zurich IL. I had not eaten anything prior to that. Six hours later I am sick as a dog. Be very careful of the conditions and the cleanliness of the people serving your food. I will not eat at a Subway again.

I contracted E. Coli at a Subway in Playa del Carmen Mexico. Had to take two cycles of very strong antibiotics. I was sick for a full; two weeks and saw doctors down there, and again as soon as i got back to the U.S., 5 miserable days later. My Doctor was very worried and ran blood tests because my fever did not break for the whole 2 week period. My stomach lining is still not the same. In case you are wondering, No, I did not drink the water, or the ice, did not eat any raw veggies, raw seafood or undercooked meat. Subway was the only meal I had outside of our very clean all inclusive resort. We were told not to eat Street Food and to be careful of eating outside the resort, but I thought that a subway on the upscale 5th avenue shopping area would be a safe bet. I was terribly wrong and will never eat at a Subway franchise in any country.

Subway at Walmart in Norfolk VA near Janaf I ate at this Subway, 6" turkey with everything, no cheese. Mayo and mustard. About 6 hours later I woke up with horrendous stomach cramping and nausea. The next day I couldn't eat at all and was running a slight fever. Diarrhea set in about a day after. I called the owner, he claimed to have checked the temps for his food trays. I want to believe him, but that sandwich was the only thing I ate that evening. I'm still weak as I type this.

Folks, I am so glad I found this..I too have not been the same since lunch yestereday afternoon and it was a turkey and swiss, I heard that the food quality at Subway is just barley over edible...My advice...stick to Quiznos or a local joint and stay away from the very nice smelling but not so nice ending subway expierence.

A few years ago a friend of mine had to be hospitalized..because of food poisoning at Subway, he vowed to never eat there again. That did not deter me from consuming Subway, however, my ex used to work for Subway and told me that ingredients in the 'salad' bar are never thrown away, that is yesterday's lettuce is mixed with new one and so on. So who knows how long the ingredients in your sandwich have been exposed. Another reason I don't eat there is because they try so hard to seem like a healthy option it sickens me, ugh, they don't have whole wheat bread at all, they try and pass 'wheat bread' as whole wheat. Also they have a 'whole wheat' pizza for which you cannot find ingredient list or nutritional info at their website but I am pretty sure it's just refined wheat flour with some caramel color.
