1 There is so much more plastic in all of the products we buy than in the bags. I don't understand why all the fuss. |

Like we have nothing else to do but wash supermarket bags.... |

This whole "save the planet" thing is a joke. People don't care about the environment. They only care about the continuation of their own pathetic species. If they really wanted to help the planet they'd stop having kids and let this miserable species go extinct.

Easy solution. Use ONE plastic bag to wrap and carry home meat. WASH your reusable bags, just like you would do towels.

1 Another stupid conservative comparing apples to oranges!!! HOW THE EFF CAN YOU RELATE MEDICAL USES WITH GROCERY BAGS??? We need the enviornment, It doesn't need us so we need to protect it and take care of it as much as we can. A lot of the procedures into taking care of our enviornment pose NO THREAT to human health what so ever so stop with your excuses, stop thinking you're better than every one else, stop littering,stop only caring about your BMW, and start being a little more caring about the planet!!!!!!!! |

That report is blown so out of proportion. The reusable bags that feel like mesh fabric such as the ones sold in Stop and Shop and Target can be washed in the washing machine and they air dry in about 30 minutes. Easy peasy.

I only reuse the plastic bags to pick up after my dog. No worries here.
|
||||
Yes, when we do get plastic, we re-use them as well. If we get too many, I'll stuff them in the recycle bin at the supermarket. |

1 A spray of lysol or clorox anywhere spray does not take a lot of time if needed. If you just use the re-usable bags for boxed dry goods, then no need to clean out. Ever hear of common sense? Save plastic for meat and produce, then reuse them as garbage bags, cat and dog waste or put in the stores recycling bin. You may even burn a few calories lazy bones! |
