Some really effective natural stuff which only helps topically, and not internally, but lowers the pain and helps the skin calm down a little: 100% pure coconut oil (most effective), can be purchased from any Indian/Pakistani grocery stores; Kaolin clay (pure would be the best), or a facial mask which contains this clay, Queen Helene facial mask, "Mint Julep Masque" is very helpful (I apply it on my whole back at least once every two weeks, it kills and dries up the boils/staph; Manuka honey, haven't tried it yet (from New Zealand, out of stock), but have read a lot about it, may be helpful; tea tree oil, also from New Zealand, can be found at GNC/Vitamin Shoppe stores, but don't wet/wash yourself after applying tea tree because it leaves purple scars and marks of the acne on the skin; turmeric paste can be made to apply on skin, I've tried eating turmeric and garlic, but they both dry up your skin and scalp, and also in the long run, too many herbs will damage your intestinal lining and cause IBS/colitis. As far as diet, just avoid fermented products/foods with active cultures such as cheese, yogurt and beer, etc., these foods contain live bacteria, either yeast or good bacteria and tend to team up with the staph bacteria and increase the production of staph. Also avoid refine and simple unnatural sugars, they increase the level of boils in the blood stream and also can cause diabetes. Also keep yourself clean and use different towels/clothes every day. I'm waiting for Arizona University Study to come out on clay which kills staph. Pharmacutical companies maybe making antibiotics combined w/clay. Have hope and God Bless everyone.

I went to the doctor for a spider bite, turns out it is msra, started taking antibiotics but it grew larger, did some research and started taking 1 tsp turmeric (spice form the grocery store) 3 times a day, after 24 hours the pain and swelling diminished, on day three now and the healing is noticable.

LOL, the first place you'll go when you're sick is the doctor you bible thumping hypocrite. Maybe you can spray some Windex on your ignorance and leave real medicine to those who don't learn it from their magic book of prophets and falsehoods.

The sick die because they listen to people like you when they are desperate for help, you should be ashamed of yourself for taking advantage of them. Homeopathic treatments are only snake oil, and apparently those doctor expert guys don't know anything about polio, syphilis, small pox, or the countless millions they've saved from cancer.

In conclusion, someone who says that you should use "the medicines that god created" are only pointing out the fact that if there is a god, then he also created the diseases that will eventually kill you. Good times god, thanks a bunch.

You are rude and wrong. Doctor's have not come up with a cure for aids or herpes or chrone's or many other things, so how can you say they are the experts? Yes medicine has its place but not before the medicines GOD created. How rude, whoever they wrote this too dont listen, you are right Dr.'s are dipshits!

I've had boils that come and go for 20 years now. They were on my buttocks, and since I used a sponge to scrub them like a doctor told me to. They spread to my other parts where the same scrubber touched. Woops. Well, now I am surfing the web for cures. I am about to try tumeric. I have tried castor oil- which brings the boil up to drain but doesn't cure it quickly enough. I put hand sanitizer directly on it and it heals quickly. I've heard comfrey tea bags on them works too and lately I heard that a cure for them is to eat 2 cups rolled oats, 2 cups muesli, 1 level brewers yeast, 2 levels wheat germ and 3 cups of milk blended together. It sounds gross but I am willing to try anything to get rid of them. Hope some of you try this too and come back and report the results.
Manuka Honey will cure the boils. Order it online from a company located in New Zealand. Manuka honey is made by bees. This is pure honey and it works! It cost approx. 50-60, but again it's worth it. This honey will kill bacteria in boils. It will kill MRSA! Also, once a week, wash in clorox. Pour 2 cups of clorox in your bath tub, soak for at least 10-15 minutes, change towels daily as well as wash cloths, and use Aveeno lotion. If you order the Manuka honey- after your bath, dry your self being careful not to dry areas of your body with open boils and spreading the infection, apply a small amount f manuka honey on the boil, cover the boil with a bandage/bandaide. Before going to bed- eat the manuka honey as directed or you can eat 2 teaspoons before goingto bed. If you are a diabetic, you should be monitoring your blood sugar and adjusting your meals accordingly.

Hi Sarina: I also have MRSA and have been told to stay off of sugars and anything white. Has yours returned? I have had mine return two to three times a year. I am so desperate for some true help. The computer is filled with nothing but scams and I would like to find some natural cures, if a cure is possible. Thanks for your help.

Oil of Oregano P73 (has to be the P73 strength) WORKED wonders for me!
I also think doctors are arrogant dipsh*ts - I've been to my family doctor 3 times, a dermatologist and a specialist.
ONLY the herbs worked.
You can get it at Whole Foods in the Immunity Supplement section for $60. Expensive I know but it kills everything - viruses, bacteria, and fungi. Even drug resistant ones.

i got my first boil in 2003 it was on the side of my face, went to ER because it kept getting bigger, they diagnosed it as cellulitis, gave me cephalexin in an IV drip. It cured it. Jan, 2009 i started getting boils on my stomach, went to dr. and they gave me keflex, did a culture found it to be mrsa and then gave me sulpha or bactrim. they went away for 6 months, now i have another one on my stomach again, different spot. this one swelled up to the size of a softball, had to get them to cut and drain it. then packed w/ gauze.

i think the people who are talking about diets being related to mrsa sufferers are right on. i have an extreme sweet tooth, i skip breakfast and eat alot of white starchy foods. im going to change my diet and stick to it and see if that helps. i do have one tip if you have a mrsa boil that has just started to form and u put manuka honey high active 15+ on it right away and cover w/ bandaid, it shrinks it and sometimes stops it altogether from forming. u can find it in your local health food store right w/ all the other organic honeys. stuff is amazing! good luck to all.

I would not trust the above source. Please do not go against your doctors wishes. They went to medical school for a reason. So that they could help others. They do know more about it then you do. So wise up and stop self treating. Trust your doctor, but learn about your condition by using these sites. It is always a good idea to know what your doctor is talking about. Education is a tool. Monkeys can use tools so why not you?
I do not mean to offend anyone but i am concerned for the well being of others and i am here to tell you that self treatment isnt as good as what your doctor may prescribe. If your unsure about it ask your doctor or get a second or even a third opinion from another doctor. There is a reason why they make more money then you do, because they know what they are talking about.
Yeah....well my doc just got done saying that if you don't respond to antibiotics - you're screwed. Straight from his mouth. Overuse of antibiotics and thinking only inside the allopathic box is what has gotten us into this mess. We have lost valuable information "old wives" treatments for things. Look at some of the great alternatives that are being found to fight MRSA from the plant kingdom....including garlic. Docs go to medical school and learn to give meds only. How is the body treated synergistically?

there are over a dozen religions before jesus that had the same thing with the virgin birth and the birth on the 25th of Dec

gods fake the movie proves it

also your being an ass hole and basically calling these people witches and thats what christians did in the medieval times as an excuse to burn them because they used native american remedies and didnt believe in god as much

oh and christians smoked pot back in the day as well

when the alter boys would swing that incense burner back and forth it had pot in it and everyone just went to church to get high

learn something for once

questions. Believe me, I have become rather an expert on this. I have just been released from hospitalization for a flesh eating bacteria infection. My Dr is a kind man but frankly I think this is over his head he has me on a very expensive(80$per pill 2x a day and exotic antibiotic that is geared for a flesh eating variety). We have long been advocates of natural treatment and use Tumeric amalaki and other herbs daily My main concern is limiting the spread to others in my household. My wife who is also 75 my son is 50 my granddaughter is 3 and my daughter in law is 47 ... what can I do to safeguard these precious people ?
