One of the problems with caffeine today is that most people have no idea how much caffeine they consume daily. More and more beverage, food and pharmaceutical products have higher and higer amounts of caffeine as an ingredient -- even chewing gum! With caffeine everywhere, it's not that hard to become caffeine-intoxicated and have hallucinations. Starbucks coffee has 50 percent more caffeine than home brew and just one 16-ounce cup of Starbucks drip coffee has 330 milligrams of caffeine. At that amount, say Durham University researchers, you can have allucinations.
