Workshop sheds light on 'Islamophobia'

Full story: Burlington Free Press

Living in Vermont for more than a year has, to my regret, begun to dull some of the excitement I... The media has helped distort the public's perception about Islam and Muslims, according to one of the keynote speakers at a day-long conference in reducing public fear.

Once you look past all the suicide bombings, "honor" killings, acid attacks, stonings, beheadings, rapes, hijackings, church burnings, kidnappings, ied's, fatwas, cartoon riots, forced marriages, and school kid massacres,......muslims are nothing more than ordinary, every day, amoral, soulless savages that worship the devil.

“People are afraid of what they don’t know."

Another false statement. When you base you conclusions on false assumptions, your conclusion has nothing to do reality.

Most all people strive for knowledge.
When presented with something they don't know or understand, they seek knowledge.

The fact is that 'People are afraid of what they' face danger.

Sure, if you leave out all the terrorism and honor killings it looks real nice.

Vermont is flakydom. "A Unitarian and a Sufi minister" what a crock.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
