Hi everyone, I have wondered for quite a few years if I have endo or not. During the week I am ovulating I have a lot of pain on my left side, cramps running down into my left leg. Sometimes to the point I am almost doubled over. Very painful and heavy periods. Painful intercourse. I really hate having an annual. It's not just uncomfortable, it is downright painful. Afterwards I have pain and it feels like I am leaking for about 3 hours. Also, after an orgasm my left side cramps and hurts for a couple of hours. None of this happens on my right side. I have a tipped uterus and I am a little irritated with my obgyn because she says there is no need for any tests because when she examines me she says my ovaries are fine and the tipped uterus will right itself in time. I have found out in the last 4 months that I have Celiac Disease. I wonder if this has any realtion to that also.

Hello there, sorry you're having such a rough time at the moment, I've been housebound for the last year or so with endo and other medical problems so I completely understand what you're going through.
I'm sure you probably know but the only way to diagnose endo for sure is to have a Laparoscopy as the symptoms can be caused by many other problems. Saying that though your symptoms sound familiar to other women's endo problems (and some of mine) I have terrible pain from my left ovary (plenty of endo and cysts there) which also runs down into my leg occasionally. Also a lot of women with endo have terrible pain after orgasm (although I differ there, I've suffered with endo for six years and orgasm can actually relieve pain long enough for me to get to sleep). The pain during ovulation is also an endo probem. If you've discussed this your consultant and they don't consider endo it might be worth trying someone else, in the meantime some women find excluding certain things from their diet helps, I never drink alcohol because that means instant agony for me (but I see that as a positive) also soy seems a good one to avoid, there is some dispute on medical advice pages whether is affects endo but I had a year pain free then switched to soy milk for a month and was in constant agony for the next five months. It may have been coincidental but my minds made up anyway. The other big no nos are all the fun things of course caffeine, dairy, chocolate and wheat. I'm working my way towards phasing these things out but when I'm in agony I only want to eat chocolate cheescake. So yes I am a terrible hypocrite but I've seen messages on Endometriosis UKs forum from women who say they're living mostly pain free from exclusions diets, so it may well be worth looking into. Saying all of that I've just remembered you mentioned Celiac so you are probably doing something similar already.
Also I've just been enthusiastically informed to buy a TENS machine by another endo sufferer who says it really helps, you can get them with dual pads so you can have one on your stomach and one on your back, I haven't tried it yet (because I'm totally broke right now, the joys of being on sick pay!) but you can pick them up fairly cheaply online.
And now I think it's time I curled back up with my hot water bottle xxx
I hope this has been of some help

Well... I had no idea if I have this or not and the experience I had the other day may indeed be pointing to it. I had an orgasam and right afterward experienced excruciating pain throughout my low abdomanal area all the way across my body for about 20 minutes. It was awful and I'd never had it before. So I came upstairs and looked up pain with orgasam and was lead to endrometreosis. I have been having trouble with IBS for about 6 months now and they cannot figure it out and I read where Endrometreosis can act like IBS.. so I think I'm onto something. Where can I find out more about these exclusion diets? And if I'm eating organic, hormone free milk and meats and eggs do I have to give those up?

I started using my pro-gest cream again but cannot tolerate soy.

I am a lifetime binger of junk food and I know this raises estrogen. I had fibroids taken out in my 30's and that didn't stop my binging and now this.. so I'm ready to stop my binging as it's beginning to hurt my body so much that I'm going to loose one of the great joys in life if I don't and who knows what else can continue to happen.

I have almost constant low level abdomonal pain throughout my entire tummy area every day.

I need help!

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Pisces

If you-know-who has been getting on your nerves recently, matters will soon come to a head and force you to take drastic action. As Mars turns tail in your sixth house, you might finally lose your rag with someone at work who's been testing your patience to the limit. Stand your ground if you feel you're being messed about in some way. Clear the air if needs be, but don't create a really nasty atmosphere by throwing an eye-popping tantrum. Take care of any infections.
