Starting your period after Lupron....

Hi Im 24yrs old ,and in 2005 I found out I had endometriosis, my doc put me on Lupron for 10 months.. When I came off my dh and I started ttc right away.. After 8 months of trying my doc checked my progestrone levels and they were 1.0 so she put me on Clomid, after two rounds I was indeed PREGNANT!! That was March of this year! But I have an Incompetent Cervix and I lost my Daniel at 17wks.. This was not my first lost to IC ,, I ve lost 2 other babies in 2000 and in 2001 bc of it.. I did have a successful pregnancy in 2002 and he is now five.. But anyhow,, My question is Im having trouble getting pregnant once again.. Im thinking that it could be the Lupron still.. It has been one yr and 2 mo since my last shot, but Im having a very difficult time caculating my ovulation.. Im pretty positive IM NOT Ovulating at all... Has anyone else ever had a similiar sitiuation.??

I have to tell you, I am soooo glad I found this page..I had my last injection at the begining of sept and am awaiting my period. Although I'm not happy about the possibility of waiting 6 months for a period, it is comforting to know there is a sort of support group for us here. I'm 34 years old and soo worried about time being a major factor. I still have crazy hotflashes and night sweats..and I really thought they would subside by now. When did that stop for you guys?

I recieved my last lupron injection september 21, 2007 and was curious, on when i will get a period.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could let me know if I will get my peroid after taking the lupron. I didnt want to take it to begin with and my dr. made me and now reading all of this I could be havin probs for a while. I want to go to my dr. on monday and see if I can go on the 10 day pill. I have 3 wonderful children but my husband and I want to have more. I just dont want to go through the rest of my life not being able to have any more kids. Can any one give me information about this. My last shot was in aug. I also had my IUD taken out on the 13 of this month and I am not sure if the bleeding was due to the removal or if it was a peroid. I would appreciate the replys. i've been on lupron for 6 months, i just missed my 6th shot. im 26, and in school for nursing. i am getting severe cramps already, i dont know if its from missing my 6th shot or not. the dr. wants to keep me on lupron til may, when my insurance will pay for the surgery. that will mean i'll be on lupron for a year. im really concerned about this because im having severe mood swings and anxiety and have 2 small kids.

Glad to hear that story. So how long after your last shot was your conception day??? I guess your estrogen levels had gone to normal without having to get a period. I got off of 6 months of Lupron after a laparascopy. 11 weeks after my last Lupron shot I got a short period (spotted for 2 days and heavy on the 3rd day) I asked my doctor if that was considered an official period and we could start trying again. She said yes. But it doesn't look like I got pregnant the 1st month :-(

I only have one half of one ovary left due to endo and and cysts, but after taking Lupron I still was able to conceive. You may get pregnant while still coming off the Lupron as well. I did. My son was born a month early at 7lbs 8oz and lungs were fully developed. So the one little period I got after coming off Lupron we believe now was really the implanation bleed from the pregnancy. quick question, if i have had my period for 25 days straight what is wrong with me? i am starting to wonder if it is because i didnt have my period for 5 months straigth and it is just making up the time lost but i highly doubt that. please help?

oh and i am not on lupron...random question i know.

I took Lupron for three months one shot each month. Anyone else do that? It will be 2 months since my last shot and no period. I am having quite a lot of dischange(not yeast infection) and wonder if I'm ovulating? I didn't suffer all the other side effects from Lupron as others. I had my period the first month of the shot and only two hot flashes and headaches. I guess I'm lucky but is that normal too? Is it safe to try to conceive before the first period???

I received a lupron shot in Oct. 07 to shrink a large fibroid. I had an abdominal myomectomy in December. The lupron shrunk my fibroid. I didn't have any terrible side effects with lupron. I am hoping that my cycle comes back without having to take any meds. I didn't realize that it could be so long before your cycle returned. I used maybe baby during my lupron therapy to see if I was ovulating and I wasn't. No surprise there. However, the other day I used it and there were clear signs of ovulation. I don't know if it was fluke due to the lupron in my system. I am not sure as today marks the 12th and final week of treatment so lupron should be very low in my system.
I don't know...has anyone had a normal rather uneventful return of their cycle?

hey, its my first time..i have level 4 endo..i have been taking lupron since nov 2007, took my final and 3rd shot yest..am planning IVF out of country in march.does any one know when to expect a period after 3 shots of lupron, the only period i have missed so far is the one in JAN.any help would me appreciated

I started lupron in Feb. of 2006. I JUST got my period TODAY.... I did a six month treatment. So a shot in Feb and a shot in May. It takes a while to come. Don't fret too much! It will make it's rounds sooner or later.

Sevy, did you start the lupron therapy in 06 or 07?

Last shot on Nov 12 and started today. I was also on one shot each month for three. Hang in there it will come. Never been so happy to have a period and cramps. And so far no endo pain.

Hello- i was diagnosed with Endo in May of 06- I after 2 laporoscopys- i started a 6 month lupron treatment. My last shot was on Nov 25- i have not yet started my period. but my concern is that since day one of lupron-to now-i have had constant pain~! At this very moment- i am couch bound and calling "heating pads" my best friend! Doct says the pain should have led up half way through treatments..but like i siad--im still in so much pain- that ive had to make the couch- a routine activity. I also have IC (interstitail Cystitis-a bladder condition in which the acids in my bladder eat away at the lining-) so im not sure if the pain im feeling is of that of IC or Endo- any suggestions?

i think ur pain is from the bladder condition, as for lupron, except for the mood swings i've never had night sweats or any other condition..as far as pain not even for a sec!!it will pass..just be strong:):)

I received my first Lupron shot on 8/29/07 and I never went back for the second shot. I got a normal period on 12/27/07 and I am due for another period but so far nothing? Has anyone had this happen to them and if so what should I do? I don't want to get anymore shots because I have been in more pain since before I got the shot. Any suggestions?

I had pain after the first shot also but that is due to the increase estrogen in your body due to the shock of the shot. The second and third were much better.

I just had my first Lupron Depot shot on Jan 19th and I keep having an upset stomach. I thought I may have the stomach flu since that is going around, but after a week of this I am wondering if my upst stomach is from the shot. Anyone else have stomach upset with constant trips to the bathroom? I don't remember seeing that as a side effect on any website.
