be careful of any product that has cortisone cream in it ... as it thins the skin after prolonged (ie. a few weeks) usage. Excema is caused by SO many different triggers... there is no cure... a painful and difficult journey !!!

Hey ms. Veronica, I know your pain I suffered from the time I turned six and recently found relief at the age of 29. There is hope for you sweetheart!! The steroid creams and itching pills to fall asleep never helped. My eczema case was the worst they had seen in the state of Illinois. I changed one thing to make my skin better. Kangen Water! If you haven't heard of it then its time to educate yourself and get ahold of the water. Visit www.checkoutkangen.com Also go to you tube and look for eczema and kangen water. If you have any questions, email me at cali_yup@hotmail.com. Change your water... Change your life!! |

Do you have many allergies? Sometimes the eczema gets worse when you come into contact with substances you are allergic to. You can take a skin prick test at your local doctors to determine your allergies and avoid contact with them. I use http://www.remedyforeczemablog.com as a good point of reference for reasons for eczema flare-ups and treatment.

I have had extremely bad eczema ever since i was 2 1/2. From neck to feet. It's like every time it gets better something pops up and i have another infection or bad skin reaction. And almost everybody i see has one or two little spots of eczema, but what i got is extremely worse.Like now i have an infection and its hard for my mom to see me go through this now that im about to turn 12.Once my eczema was so bad my face was horrible, and it took out alot of my hair now i recovered from that. My hair is full and my face is clear. But the rest of me is terrible. It is very hard for me and other people to see me go through something like this to tske over my whole body. People ask me too many questions i dont want to hear it just breaks my heart.

Hi Angel,
I do hope you find something to help your eczema soon. I've had it from birth mostly on my limbs. One thing that really helped me in the battle against eczema was giving up all dairy products, but be careful to replace the lost calcium via other foods. This is just one step of many that you will have to take to get some sort of control over your eczema. All the best, and try to stay positive. |

hi everyone i've been suffering with this since i was 5. it came genetically, it skipped my mother and came to me because in our family it skips a generation, so my grandkids might get it. ive tried every ointment and cream in the world. and the only thing that will clear up your skin is triancinolone. you need to get a prescription from your doctor but it works. over the years i have become immune to about 50 medecins that help strop the inflamation of eczema. i have scars everywhere, and surely no guys would want a gf who doesnt have perfect skin, but im beyond help. but for anyone whos only been suffering with this for only a couple years try triancinolone

i kno what you mean. it seems like ive had this since i was born and people would always ask "whats wrong with your skin?" and what hurt me the most was the way they said it and how they stared. i have scars from head to toe also and because of that, i havent worn a short leeve shirt to school since i was in the 1st grade. try triancinolone. you need to get a presciption from your doctor but it works to heal up open wounds and make them soft. once you get in the shower but it on before and then after you get out but pat your skin down so there isnt that much water.

Hi Tiffiney. I was wondering how the mangosteen worked for you?
I have had whole-body eczema my whole life and have taken more prednisone and cyclosprine than you can imagine. I am now going to try the detox diet thing but my derm is also goin to try a psoriasis med called humira as an experiment. Needless to say my condition is so bad I can't do without at least prednisone but I have not tried the diet.

Triancinolone is good but it doesn't keep it from coming back and it will thin your skin bad --- I've used it for about 20 years!. I too have severe E and I'm about to embark on a detox diet to get my system into alkaline mode as recommended quite a bit on this forum. See Ken Guy's comments and read the book PH Miracle by Dr. Robert Young.

Hi All,
I've tried the magicreme, it has helped but the only problem is it states that it must not be used on bleeding skin, i would assume that also means weeping skin. As my eczema is very much the weeping and bleeding type i have only be able to us it on areas that are just plain dry (which is maybe about 60% of my rashes). Nonetheless it has been helpfull up to a point. I would like to know how you all get on with your detox diets, i have also read that an alkaline body is far more beneficial if you have eczema. As for steriod based cremes i gave those up about 20 years ago, they only make your skin seriously thin!! Speak to you all soon. |

It's really sad when someone posts a simple query for easing a condition and better than 70% of the replies he gets are spam for snake oil preparations.
This kid is dealing with an embarrassing uncomfortable condition and all you can think of is 'jackpot.' You spineless unscrupulous vultures should be ashamed of yourselves. |

I'm 32 y/o and the last ten months has been a slowly progressive eczematous lesion on one leg. During all these trials to see what will work, one thing that I could not live without is a simple fan. The cool air flow soothes and chills my skin and completely relieves the itch [it's a lifesaver to get a full night's sleep]. So far everything has shown temporary/partial relief (topical steroids, sun exposure, Dead Sea salt baths, Champori spray/oil, Native Remedies herbal lotion, extra virgin olive oil, 100% shea butter). Nothing I eat seems to make it worse at least. I'm to the point where I'm willing to eat healthier to see if it improves anything.
I've read alot of information online, and nowhere is it mentioned about a fan. It seems everyone's eczema responds differently, but if a fan will help anyone, I want to mention it because it's cheap and has no side effects! |

Hey guys im an 18 yr old male and i too am a SEVERE SEVERE eczema sufferer. It covers my ENTIRE body. I HATE it so much. Ive had eczema most of my life but it for the last 2 years it has attacked my body with full force so much that i no longer own shorts, because of the fact that my legs have 30cm black spots over my calf's and thighs. Not to mention they bleed constanttly from uncontrollable scratching. My upper torso, back, arms, feet, neck and hands are no different. Its so bad every mornin i wake up from sleep, its like waking up in a sand box. My skin litterally breaks off in little flakes and it disgusts me so much. I desperately need help. Im at wits end. Please Help. And yes ive had the cortisone cream and no i dont like that either, didnt work. Please give me an answer. Im staring at my hands as i type and i wanna cry. Ive had enough.

Here's another natural solution which really works.
http://tinyurl.com/ncyfnh Otherwise I suggest trying the emotional cures like META Medicine or EFT. Richard Flook's book,'Why am I Sick' is a fascinating read. Finally it offers a real answer to the cause of disease- something conventional medicine often cannot. Also those chemicals/steroids can be scary full stop. Good Luck! Good Health! Sam |

Here's a good explanation from a holistic point of view.

Hi Brad,
I read your post a few days ago and have been thinking about what to say to you in my reply. I too have eczema and have had it since birth (arms, legs and lower trunk covered completley). There are many of us on this forum who have eczema and i suspect the reason you haven't had many replys is because yes we understand and can truly feel your pain, but we are a bit lost as to what to say or recommend to you that has any long term results. For the minute Brad i would just like to say please try and stay strong, don't give up the fight and keep reading and learning about your eczema, it's your body and you are going to have to learn all you can about it. Each of us are individuals and have to learn for ourselves to a degree. I personnally have found some help will controlling my eczema by avoiding all processed foods and consuming plenty of fruits and vegatables also the most common one that everyone has heard of, i stay away from all dairy products. As for the to sites 'advertised' in the above 2 posts i checked them out and to be honset i'm not impressed, having said that if any of you decide to buy that ebook do let us all know it you cured yoyr eczema in 14 days (i wonder if she could cure my hayfever and asthma in 14 days too?!). Brad, stay srong and i'll speak to you soon. |

Evening primrose oil contains Salicylic Acid; gamma-linolenic acid; urase; lipase; lipoxgenase enzymes also hydroperoxide and asparagine and water; Urease is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea into carbon dioxide and ammonia
Lipase breaks down saturated fats and cholesterol so reduces all hormones directly; and can act to thin the blood slightly in respect of reducing fibrin thus slowing platelet coagulation; Lipoxygenases are a family of iron-containing enzymes that catalyse the dioxygenation of polyunsaturated fatty acids in lipids containing a cis,cis-1,4- pentadiene structure. It catalyses the following reaction: fatty acid + O2 = fatty acid hydro peroxide it is an anti-flammatory agent and work predominantly within the liver and kidneys; and endocrine system; note well; only in a very very low concentration 0.03 percent or it would damage the liver and endocrine system; most strains of harmful bacteria (and cancer cells) are anaerobic and cannot survive in the presence of oxygen or H202. 5 Lipoxygenase is used to combat asthma and over cytokine responses as with uterine wall membrane diseases; ie endometriosis; Unlike menstrual fluid from the uterus which is shed by the body, blood from the misplaced tissue has nowhere to go, resulting in the tissues surrounding the endometriosis becoming inflamed or swollen. This process can produce scar tissue around the area which may develop into lesions or growths. In some cases, particularly when an ovary is involved, rogue testosterone in the blood can become embedded in the actin cells and uterine tissue where it is located, forming blood blisters that may become surrounded by a fibrous cyst. Or fibroids; ie fibrous cell tissue; primrose oil tablets works well for eczema and acne in males and females |

1 So, upon advice of one of my friend, and many cases I heard, I change to use: eczema clear - Chinese herbal liquid for washing the skin, selling in many dispensary here in Hong Kong, costing US $ 20. elomet - steroid cream Oilatum shower gel (made in Singapore) a very strict diet with no sweet, fries, chips, sausage, only small amount of beef, bean, eggs, milk, decrease intake of fruit replaced by vegetables. I was told that for some cases when the patient gets better he can slowly increase the intake of above. Welcome any comments! |
