I was told I had eczema in my ears several years ago. I was given a cortisone solution to use. It has kicked up again as have allergies and I woke up this morning to a stopped up right ear. Its like there is water in my ear....can't hear as well. I think the allergies have something to do w/it, but I have never had an ear do this before. I had allergy tests done several years ago and was told I was not allergic to anything, but then why do I have the sneezing, coughing, watery eyes (especially in stores), etc. The cortisone does stop the itching, but this is weird. Can anyone relate to this or have any suggestions?

I have the same problem too the only thing is that my ear itches a lot and plugs often. To get relief from the itching I use a Q-tip, dip it in olive oil or coconut oil and rub it in my ear. It does help sometimes.

Ditto Here Too. I was told I have eczema in both ear and am to the point where I am loosing my hearing. I tried a IEC hearing aid, but only could stand it for about 3-4 hrs, then it would itch, itch, itch and I would have a ear infection dor the next 3-4 days. It's a bummer, you can't hear anymore and the doc only says what I have, not solutions at all ! In the mean time, I grow more & more of hard to hear every month !

I would tend to think that it may relate to sinus issues and the eustacian tubes. I am totally biased as I am an acupuncturist/herbalist---but I would try acupuncture for the allergies and sinus and hopefully that would get to the root of the eczema too.
Any other suggestions I have on skin, diets, products etc I posted on a free-informational website called myskinbetter (http://www.myskinbetter.com ). I put it up after my daughter was born with eczema and I learned all I could about natural skin care to help her. It is my way of sharing what I learned and helping others. If you like it please spread the word. IT IS NOT SELLING ANYTHING. Hope something helps you.

i had unknowingly had excema in both ears for months, no serious symptoms, just itchiness. I finally saw an ent specialist because of a severe ear infection. She prescribed drops called mometasone furoate. They offer little to no help with the itching and I woke up today with an infection in the other ear. my face and neck are swollen, i can't chew anything, and the pain and itch are horrible. I'm 43, no severe allergies or any other related symptoms. before this, I never had an ear infection in my life. All I can think is what the hell. Thanks for listening.

had worsening eczema, both ears, flaking & itching for 2 years, nothing helped. new Dr. prescribed Lotrisone--antifungal with corticosteroid, 2X daily application cleared it up in 3 weeks.

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Capricorn

The Moon enters your fourth house of home and family today, urging you to spend more time with your loved ones. There may be trouble brewing at home, so head it off at the pass before tomorrow, when conditions are right for a blowout. Take the time to really listen to what the people you live with are saying. If you live by yourself, you might want to water your plants and talk to them for a while; they miss you.
