I developed a horrible rash on my hands 6 weeks ago and let me tell ya, I thought at times I wanted to tear these hands right off my body they itched so bad.

I have fish tanks and it's my belief that something in their water started this problem for me. Most likely a medication for my fish that I had an allergy to but whatever, this rash was pure hell. First the rash like little hives under the skin. Then the drying out and skin cracking open. Then the whole process would repeat itself.

I used all kinds of stuff and not a thing worked. Like I stated, 6 weeks of pure itching, cracking and bleeding hands. YESTERDAY I had a doctors appointment with a surgeon to have a wart removed and I started talking to him about my rash. He gave me a prescription for Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. I have never heard of it but I believe it's a steroid. Today my hands are nearly cleared up and have not itched even one time.........THANK YOU DOCTOR!!

I have never posted here before but I went thru so much hell with this rash that I was looking for another sufferer to tell about this prescription. If this helps one person then it was worth my time. Good luck.

Hi Carolo,

That's great news that your skin is clearing with the cream. Yes it will be a steroid and they work very fast. I'm sure your doctor told you to apply only a thin layer of the cream as it is very strong.

I hope your skin stays clear after the course of treatment. If you have the time to post back to let us know the outcome that would be very helpful.

All the very best.

Carol, triamcinolone Acetonide .1% and Fluocinonide .05% ointments are normal prescriptions for anyone with moderate to severe Eczema at any dermatologist office. They are also steroids and can weaken your skin barrier dramaticly. For quick relief, you'll find great improvements from these steroid ointments but it's not a long term solution as steroids absorb into the body.. For eczema sufferers a cream like PROTOPIC which is ammune inhibitor and non-steroid would be a better choice.

protopic, like any other immune inhibitor is a very bad option. Side effects. Read about them before using.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
