Jojoba Oil(100%) pure seems to cut down on the
scratching. It took 2 months to cure it on my
arms but now a yr. later I got it on the worst
place possible.....Face!
Crying at night but the Jojoba Oil cuts the
itching. But this time it doesn't seem to halt
it spreading. One of lowest points of my life.

Thanks! I'm 12 and I know what you mean. I am embarassed to go swimming and go to school. Like you, I almost always wear long-sleeve shirts. Eczema is not "cool". I've been to sooo many doctors. I'll try this for sure! Thanks again!

I haven't had eczema my whole life, but it got pretty bad.
It just popped up out of nowhere when I was 16. I hadn't even had it as a child. I've had since then for about 2 years.
At first, I went to see my doctor and he gave me steroid cream, at first it got rid of it but then it just kept coming back, eventually it would go and then come back worse. Very frustrating!
In all I was probably given about 3 types of steroid creams and even steriod tablets to calm it down. None of which fully got rid of the actual problem.

I got so fed up of going to the doctors constantly and taking time out of college that I decided not to take steriod creams and find my own ways of dealing with it.

I've ended up taking:
-Star flower oil tablets, basically Primrose oil but higher concentration
- Iron tablets
- Zinc tablets
-Vitamin D tablets
-Antihistamines

On my skin I use The Simple Derma range - http://www.simple.co.uk/index.aspx...
They have no parfumes and are really good, though they can be expensive.
I also use Vitamin E capsules on my skin, I open them with a needle and rub the vitamin on my dry patches.
After bathing I use Boot's own make Baby Oil-gel all over while my skin is still wet and leave it in to soak.(http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servle... )

Also, I tend to find that when I can feel a flare up it helps if I drink cold water - I can feel it cooling my skin.

After doing all of this my skin has improved dramatically! I'm not sure whether it's just using one, or all of them together but it's amazing.
I wish I had a before and after picture to show.
My skin still gets itchy and slightly red, but no where near as much as it did. I can now sleep all night without waking up itching and red raw.
I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else but it is worth a try. I hope this helps :]

then spend the day in front of the tv just continually rubbing in moisturizers (unscented, of course)
that pretty much sums up my days and i live in miami. when the weather gets dry and even slightly cool and less humid mine flares..i have had it all my life too and recently i wonder how people up north could live with this there! i remember going to west virginia 2 years ago (when my eczema really started getting bad and debilitating) the weather was great temperatures never went over 50 but the weather DESTROYED my skin and emotions literally..i never cried so much on a VACATION. i was so uncomfortable to move and even talk to anyone..

i hate those days where it gets at my face eyelids around mouth ears... just want to hide from everyone on those days even my own family =( this disease sucks

It is so hard for me to read those stories, and the ways people dont know how to deal with it, they are going a wrong direction, cure for eczema is quet simple, and it can be done without creams, lotions and other scary equipment, i have a book on how i have healed my eczema ,on www.eczemacleared.com i am shiatsu therapist as well as Reiki healer, as well as chinese medicine prastitioner, and it is very strange, that in within of those therapies lies the source to cleare it. very powerful sorce and very simple too, go there and find it out, it is just recently updated.thank you. if you feel this information is usefull to you dont hesitate to contact me

Hello all I am 23 yrs old and have had eczema my whole life. I had it pretty much under control for most of my life until I became 20 yrs old. Since then it has become worse and worse. The only thing that seems to soothe my skin lately is a blistering hot shower. Then I pile on the lotion once i am dry. There has got to be something out there for me. Any suggestions anyone?

[what is the name of the anti itch pill]
Jessica wrote:
Hi, I'm Jessica, and fourteen year old from Medicine Hat Alberta. I have lived with eczema my whole life, well at least as long as I can remember. I had tried everything and had been to special doctors but nothing seemed to be working. I remember just about 2 months ago sitting on the floor with a comb bawling and just scratching at my skin continuesly until it bled or hurt so bad that I couldn't bend my joints. My eczema was everywhere too all over my legs, my tummy, my arms, and my neck. Finally it got so bad that it started spreading to my face.... it was horrible. I was so embarrassed that I would wear long sleeve shirts all the time and long pants even in gym. I couldn't figure out wut I was doing wrong. So anyone out there with eczema I totally feel for you... Cause I can clearly remember those painful nights, and embarassing gym classes and embarassing times going swimming and hiding in the water. And I am proud to say that now I am clean and wore a skirt to school for the first time in years on monday!
So now for the good part and i hope this will help. Just remember that your not alone and many people deal with this. Try and stay stress free.... stress just makes it worst, stay moisturized, do not use scented lotions and bubble baths, do not wear metal unless it is gold, silver or surgical steel, and try using a cortisone cream, also at night take a pair of old socks and cut the toes off then apply your cream, you can then pull the socks over your arms and legs and your cream will not rub off, also try socks on your hands at night to stop from scratching, also before you go to bed take a anti-itch pill, I know that it may sound easy but it will take a while but i promise the results are rewarding =D

hi
i have really chronic eczema, since 24 years, i m clear now since 3 years. but at times i do get slight rash, which on application of ordinary skim ointment gets cured. i had done each n every kind of medication. naturopathy ayurveda alopathy, all of them. In fact I had even taken steroids as i was very close to death, and so i m still fat for it. I actually started living life since the last three years.
i have even lost my original skin colour. can it be gained back????
my main question was should one get married after being cured of eczema?I do not want the problem by any chance to pass it to my children in future. if anyone knows the ans to this please reply ASAP
