Hmmm... "DBeth" and "ann1" are both promoting the Healing Anthropology Calendula Salve product, and they're both from Phoenix, AZ. I wonder where Healing Anthropology is based.

*checks Healing Anthropology website*

Oh hey, whaddya know! Phoenix!

I have eczema on my hands. The steroid gel my doctor gave me (Desonate, of which the main ingredient is desonide) works when I don't forget to apply it twice a day, but something about putting steroids on an open rash all the time rubs me wrong.

I love how it's nearly impossible to cut through the marketing BS for natural remedies online.

I took your advice and used a high quality, bees wax chapstick on my eyelids and it's like a miracle!! My eyelids are nearly perfect now. Thank You so much!

I HAVE ECZEMA ON MY EYELIDS AND I FOUND SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR ME. I'VE TRIED A LOT OF OVER-THE-COUNTER CREAMS AND EVEN CALENDULA SALVE, NONE OF IT WORKED FOR ME. MY HUSBAND GAVE ME THE IDEA OF PUTTING MY LIP BALM ON MY EYE LIDS. THE ONLY BRAND THAT WORKS FOR ME IS "BURT'S BEES HONEY LIP BALM". IT'S ALL NATURAL. I NO LONGER HAVE TO SCRATCH DEAD SKIN OFF MY EYELIDS, WHICH I WAS DOING ABOUT THREE TIMES A DAY.

I did go to a doctor (eye doctor) who prescribed a steroid cream, which got rid of the eczema, at a cost of more than $100, but it can only be used for seven days because it causes glaucoma. The eczema came right back after the seven days. The doctor said an allergy causes it and I need to find out what I'm allergic to.

Same as JBJ, and then contact allergy unit at hospital determined it must be "atopic" allergy - same category as hay fever etc. so lots of appointments, no further ahead. It all (the eyelid eczema) lasted 6 months with 3 or 4 "extreme" weeks throughout. The good news is that it went away on its own. The bad news is that I really don't know what triggered and I am worried it will come back. I am now looking into the possibility of hypothyroidism as the trigger - because of some other symptoms I have had over the same period.
