What is one to do when buying ground beef now a days. Do you wrap it up and place it in the freezer for a month or two, and wait for the recall?

I would recommend you find someone who lives in the country and team up with them. Go out and buy a weaned steer around 400 -500lbs. This will cost you about 1$ per lb. Split the cost of feed and other expense with the rancher. In about a year you will have a full grown cow that you fed and raised with NO hormones or steriods.
Take the cow to be processed at local processor that has a clean health record. Fill your freezer with TOP QUALITY meat for around 3$ a pound. |
