Any disease or injury can be depressing if you let it take charge of your life! I know after my spinal cord injury I played a pity party for 7 years before I realized it was controlling me instead of me controlling it. Once I took control of it my life turned aroudn180 degrees and has been the best it can ever since then..

You can be in charge of your life or it can be in charge of you! That is the big secret to most things in life, There are some things you can not control, But my advice is do not sit or lay back and let you life go by because your hurt or sick, You only have one life, Get up and take control...It is hard, It is a struggle, Sometimes daily, But it is worth it! At the end of the day you are a better person for it and you are happy with your self also...I am when I lay my head down at night knowing I gave 100 percent every day and the people I helped and interacted with.

I think it can work both ways! When you give up you will eat and et and gain more wieght, If you are Type 2 then this is the worse thing for you, Then you fall into the cylce of your B/S never being right and then more pills being bigger and then getting depressed more so forth and so on!

Type 1 is a hard type to deal with! I have Patents and friends that are Type 1 and they have good days and bad days, The bad days are when they are more apt to go into depression and that is when they need all the love and support they can get! If they try and do it on there own, They are more apt to slip into depression as they get older.

But I believe that if a person can have one on one uplifting help they can break the depression and then beat some forms of diebetie's like
(type 2) if caught in time.
