Try psychotropic drugs (Mind drugs) as the major cause with the mental health trying to move in to the politics and control of the people in India. It is being done in Australia also.

Seems that the major issue affecting the students in relation to mental health is quite similar to what effects many Americans here in the US: that admitting to having mental health issues is quite Taboo.
It's amazing that most people are very receptive to receiving treatment for physical medical problems, while they scorn any help or treatment for mental health problems. Yet, society is quick to scream outrage when someone commits a crime and it might be related to a mental health problem and or it gets blamed on a mental health problem. Amazing that many people are unable to see that society today has no concept of social skills and coping skills. But, than that comes from wearing blinders along with believing everything they see/read on television, in the news media, and on the Internet. Cheers |

Could this have something to do with the fact that child abuse is on the increase?

Could it be the known violence associated with psychotropic drugs? I beleive in Great Britain you have the residue of Prozac, statin drugs leeched into the Thames River. That is a high usage. There was also a proposal for "over the counter" Prozac. I don't know if that law passed or not. |

YES! Good point made by Zoompad from the United Kingdom. Physical and psychological abuse has traumatic effect on any human being. For anyone to not acknowledge this social factor is quite disengeniune! Cheers Zoompad |

It hasn't been passed here in the US. Zoompad, has the UK passed any law there allowing Prozac to be sold over the counter? Cheers |
