Yes. I am one of the thousand of celiacs in Argentina that ask a law for celiacs.

my daughter who is almost 4 has been having siezure like episodes, behavior is horrible and getting worse, she is always hungry or thirsty. I am going to get her blood tested tomorrow for the celiac disease. This started in march and is just getting worse. The siezure like episodes have stoped, her last one was on mothers day. She becomes all flushed and her lips turn a purplish color, she goes into a staring trance like looking right through me, does not respond to my voice and vomits. She then sleeps for a long time. This has happend as she is going to sleep, coming out of sleep, or in a sleep. Her behavior is horrible. She was almost potty trained and now we are back to pull ups. She starts my day off with getting into trouble, being fresh, screaming at me or just not listening and as the days go by it is getting worse. In some ways I hope that it is this, no one else has any idea as to what it is. Even in the Er the doctor witness this episode and couldnt come up with a diagnosis. Im at my wits end, because I cant see this little girl being so mean all the time. What else can I do?

Dear Christine
Sorry to hear about your daughter!
My friend has a daughter too; who had started to have siezures at the age of 2!(She is 7 now)
It took 2 years for the doctors to find out that she has Landau-Kleffner syndrome (LKS)...This is very difficult to diagnose...
Interesting part for us is about my friend; she has just diagnosed with celiac disease (She is 40 years old)
So, I read a lot about being celiac and having seizures but Landau-Kleffner syndrome (LKS) is very rare...
Try to keep calm and get immediate medical help...
This site is very informative:

Good luck
