My cousin said that after 3 months on this stuff... http://www.aloeelite.com that her symptoms have completely gone. Has anyone else had this experience? I'd love to know. Thanks.

Hi Jerry,

I have tried all sorts of things during my 30 years battle with Colitis. I have been now in remission for 2 years and I owe it all to an Antioxidant vitamins called "JUICE PLUS". You can check out juiceplus.com

This has really boosted my immune system which we really need as a Colitis sufferer. I do not bleed any more and have no more mucous. It takes about 3 months after taking this vitamins to start taking effect but I did a lot of research on this and a few of my Colitis friends have also done great recoveries. I take the fruit and vegetable supplement. It is really worth it.

Just wanting to help. Good luck to you and best wishes.
Sarah from Toronto

(The aloe did not work for me) you need something more powerful like the antioxidant vitamins.

I have UC and have been taking Juice Plus as well. I take both the fruit and vegetable supplement; however, they are in ghe "gummy" form vs. tablet. I have not experienced any miraculous cures, but can tell you that if you cannot eat lots fruits and vegetables because of your UC condition, they are a helpful supplement.

For me there are no quick fixes. Healthy lifestyle treatments, supplements, low residue diets, and medical treatment are the only path I know that is true.

I was diagnosed with UC in early 2004, and cured myself with the anti-fungal diet.

I was diagnosed with UC and took ASACOL and it was a miracle drug for me. I too am a health nut, and don't believe in messing with the human eco-system. But I watched a friend of mine mess around with NATURAL remedies and in May of 06 had to have her colon removed(after she almost died) Ends up her colitis that she thought was isolated to the anal tract was much worse and the ulcers had eaten clean through. She blamed herself for this as she did not follow her doctors order and chose many alternatives. Let me also end by saying she had to have more surgery---her rectum was removed in September 06. So I think she would tell you to opt for the drug and skip the alternative---- We are talking about a vital function here and most of us would like to keep our pride and our colon.

I was diagnosed as well and I am also taking Asacol, but I've only been taking it for a week now. I was wondering if I can also take St. John's Wart Vitamins which is what I was taking before to promote a positive attitude. I would take it during "that time of the month" so that I would not get PMS. I'm not sure if I can still take that, does anyone know?

St John's Wart is very helpful for colitis, and you can definitely take it, dun worry about PMS.. take it from a woman ^_^

I don't and never had colitis, but I would definitely give detoxing and cleansing a serious look.. it can't worsen colitis, and can very well help..

You can do cleansing by making your own P&B shakes (Psyllium Husk and Bentonite Clay), or by getting a cleansing kit somewhere... I'm sure there are great options out there - I just googled a page with a review of some of the most popular cleansing kits:

Hi everybody, I'm really & seriously looking for good advice today. My uncle's suffering from Aggravated UC, he's got this sickness since 15 years now and really don't know what to do. He suffers a lot and is very tired this week can't go to work. He's been through a lot of bleeding lately, with non-stop diarrhea and etc. Please can anyone help him? I wanted to buy ALOELITE but need an advice before cause we have to import it from America and we live a world's apart. Can anyone give me a counsel on this please. Tks may God bless you.

Please check out the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD). It has been around for 60 years, controlling and curing what doctors say is incurable. It's a complete lifestyle change, but a delicious and healthy one. I've no more headaches, tummy aches, colds or flu. I'd love to think that we could just take a pill or supplement and cure UC, but I'm a long way from believing that.

Everybody keeps telling about diarrhea. My 10 years son does not have it, but he goes just once a day and it's bloody. I am trying to keep him off drugs (Asacol gave him 103 C fever) and do not know if not having a diarrhea is good??

We live in South Africa and my dad also suffers from severe colitis. Have also tried just about everything. Mucoperm is the latest together with Asacol en cortisone. He is only a pensioner and not that well off. The AloeElite is very expensive. Is this product not available in SA? He is also Gluten intolerant. Any other tips or suggestions highly appreciated.

I 've taken imuran for 8 months and I did not respond to the drug. But , that is not to say it will not help you! At least try the therapy.

the gluten intolerance might be mostly what effects him. have you tried removing him entirely from gluten? had someone diagnosed with chron's turned out he was fine if he just avoided gluten. sorry about the colitis, i've been sick for years and still haven't found a way out.

I have also started to take active manuka honey umf 10, wich really helps with digestion, i highly recomend it. has anyone else had good results with honey.
