Smoking Bans Reduce Heart Attacks

Sept. 21, 2009 -- Smoking bans cut heart attacks , two separate studies show. Each of the studies combined data from all previous studies of the effects of smoking bans on heart attacks.

There are, actually, a number of such studies. A couple of the big ones seemed to be negating the premise, but far and away the majority I've encountered do find a correlation. Given that a study published last month showed heart-related responses to tobacco smoke were similar from ten minutes at low exposure and from much longer and more intense exposures, this result would make sense.

What a crock of Sheet, you would have to have smoking bans in effect for at least 20 years to have a REAL study..
