I wholeheartly agree that a total ban on fireworks is needed throughout the State. The Chinese are rich in culture and custom, yet throughout China firworks have been banned. Also Singapore, Taiwan and others. It's time we bring Hawaii into the 21 century. The associated cost and risk far outweigh adult childness.

This won't stop the illegals. The number of permits bought and the amount of fireworks going off don't match my a long shot. I am deluged by offers of firecrackers and aerials every new years. Banning it won't help much unless the man power to cite people is available.

I agree... I think that they need to ban all fireworks. AFTER they ban gas burning cars and Cigarettes and Alcohol get rid of those first they do much more damage to our environment and air pollution than Fireworks do.Alcaho0l abuse and cigarettes do 100% more damage to our keikis than fire works do

Stop being a hypocrite. fireworks are the least of MANY much bigger problems that this island has

You obviously do not have a neighbor who has been setting off the "bomb" type since October.

Last week 15 were killed by fireworks in China at a party.

But of course they are free to ship their poison food and junk fireworks over here.

Daily Horoscope for December 25

Aries

You've got a taste for adventure today, so you might decide to depart from tradition in some way and make it an unusual Christmas. You're certainly all set for a great time, and you'll want everyone else to enjoy themselves as much as possible. You'll probably eat and drink too much but, hey, it's Christmas! Isn't such excess par for the course?
