chest pain when sneezing

have been having pain on left side of my chest particularly noticable when I sneeze or take a deep breath
the pain I can feel in my left shoulder also.woke one morning with shortness of breath and had ecg which showed my heart was racing faster than normal, two days prior I had done much straining of my chst lifting windows in and out, though my shortness of breath now gone I still feel discomfort particularly on sneezing.

David did you get a result on the pain in your chest. I have the nagging pain in my right side and when I sneeze it just aches. I have now been getting pain when I am lying down and have shortness in breath.

I have chest pain at night while laying down,and I usually have to sit in my chair, the doctor was more concerned about refux disease. If you have any suggestions let me know

i am 28yr old female and have been having all types of chest pain for the past year, after giving birth. they did all the cardiac work up they will do and have NO idea where it is coming from. they say muscular or gi. b\c i do have reflux up to cervical esophagus has anyone tried to look into reflux? i actually just had a pain in my chest after i sneezed.. i'm wondering if that means it is muscular.. anyone hear anything form their dr's?

Everytime I sneeze I have pressure and pain in my upper lungs.I am 44 years old,I quit smoking 7 years ago.In 2004 i had surgery and i caught phenoia in the hospital.I'm not sure if it has caused this pain to be there and i only notice it when i sneeze.I'm perplexed could you let me know if it's from scar tissue or from something else.

i have asthma and when am laying down on my back or stomach i get shooting pains in my lungs and my inhaler dosnt help. i will also wake up with the same pains and i will have trouble breathing. any 1 have any ansewers?

I just gave birth 3 months ago and having the same problem

I just gave birth 3 months ago and i am having chest pain as well and i have acid reflux as well and the other day i sneezed and my left chest hurts.

I also get this pain when i sneeze! It starts a few seconds after i sneeze. It is a sharp shooting pain that starts in my chest and goes down my left arm ending in my fingers. It lasts about 5-10 seconds and is the most painful sensation i have ever had! I am 23 and this pain started when i started gaining weight. I'm going to lose all the weight i gained and hopefully this terrible curse goes away!

I get serious pain that lasts for a few moments, like the valves or some type of flow was stopped momentarily to my left arm. I sweat alot just by my head and neck when I sleep. Lately I have been having alot of paon in my chest. I went to a doctor and took a stress test and I passed it. So I took another from another DR. and there was a small section where the DR. said it was abnormal but I finished strong. Has anyone heard of this Angioprim? From a Thomas Snee I believe.

I am not sure what it is, but Ihave the same problem I am 34 and it has been going on for the last 3-4 months. I have been worried because my Dr. said the same thing, and you know your body, Ihave been in some type of training almost my whole life until a year ago when my heart stopped from doing cocaine one night. For 3 months after that I was having serious palpitations and basically scared that I was going to die again. The palpitations have stopped but the chest pain has started and the pain when I sneeze is terrible. I sweart alot when I sleep around my neck and head area. I don't have an answer, I just know what you mean when you say you know it's not OK. God be with you.

I just started having this painful pain when I sneeze, the pain embraces my chest , mid back , shoulders, breasts, is so painful. It started with a bad cold, and it continues...

im 14 never smoke never drink and i sneeze n my chest hurts like a mother so i googled tht b*tch

when i sneeze my chest will hurt very badly for many days, and slowly go away. it only comes back when i have a violent sneeze. my doctor says that i have costochondritis and put my on Rx anti inflamitories they dont work, any ideas?

I have the same thing only it goes down both arms. Does any one have any ideas? My only started a few days ago.

I also have pain after sneezing that runs down my arms and sometimes my legs, even sometimes what seems like my whole body. Been talking to people about this and I think it can come from allergy's like food allergy's. Its a good thing to have checked out anyways, you might be surprised what you are allergic to

Although this seems like a dead topic alot of your symptoms for the lot of you who arent pregnant sounds like either pneumonia or Costocondritis. If yu can apply pressure to where it hurts and you feel pain its most likely costo... If you only get the pain while breathing deeply or sneezing then its possible that its pneumonia. Check with your doctors just in case. Both can be cured so dont panic.
