Over the months i have got stronger and am now back work but have dull left side chest pain and sharp pains occasionally. consultants can not find anything ive had nearly every test on my heart all come back good results. this pain is horrible and sits just under my rib cage going round to my left side im still worried they have missed somethin oh im 28 years slightly over weight but always had a active job as a work on a builders site

I am 32 and have pain in the left side of my chest. It always happens when i am sitting down or in bed. Sometimes it's a sharp pain that hurst more when I breath & sometimes just a dull ache (I've actually been having this on & off since I was 14 but is now more regular since i've become pregnant). I am so worried. Had an ECG & all was normal. Have begun to think it's heart burn and have recently read about precordial Catch Syndrome. Both are relatively harmless so fingers crossed. It certainly puts life into perspective!

I have been living the past 2 years with chronic pain in the middle area of my left side. It gets worse when I drink a lot of water. Strange. It is a constant ache, pain. I thought it was my kidney. But the pain doesn't radiate to my back. I have noticed a couple things: 1) it gets worse about 2 weeks before I start my monthly 2) when it hurts, I can trace the pain to my lower abdomen, right above the hip 3) it actually feels swollen and warm- to the touch, when it hurts the most. I am 34 years old, I have had 3 C-sections, gall bladder removed, and kidney stones.

See a physical therapist or look up muscle spasms. I just started paddling again in Hawaii and from not rotating the right way my step-mom (physical therapist) said what ever muscle (can't spell the name she told me) under my ribcage is spasming. Told me to stretch it out by hanging on a bar and it helped, but it still hasn't gone away yet. She said it can last for a while, depends on various things. I looked online about it and it helped me understand it even more.

I have been having the same pains for many many years now. Sometimes it is tolerable and sometimes it keeps me up at night. It is generally not there when I am sitting up, it is when I lay on my left side for any length of time that it is the most pronounced. I have noticed that when I drink lots of whole milk it is much worse. I have pretty much learned to live with it but would love to know what causes it and if there is anything I can do to lessen it.

I get 'attacks' in which my left side lower ab area hurts like hell and I sweat like crazy and just moan from the pain. The last one was a year ago until recently I had 2 attacks within a month. I also get diarrhea. The attack of pain can last an hour or several hours. When it eases up I am wasted. I have seen my gastro doctor 2x about this and no answers. I am to have a colonoscopy soon. It is frightening and wonder if I should call 911 when this happens.

What tests were done to discover the acidity? I have intense pain on and off for over two years now and can't find an answer for my pain.
