Hi, I am 29 yrs old and has always been in good health. I am habitual of knuckle cracking. But for last 1 yr I observed that the cracking sound is coming from the center of my chest and it was just like knukle cracking. I got into habit of enjoying that cracking sound then onwards. Last month while resting at home before dinner, I suddenly got a chest pain.. and it was scary. My hands started little shaking (it may be because of the panic at the moment to know something like this is happening). I was not able to freely move my arms and it was like my chest is locked at a perticular position. If I bend a bit, it used to pain, if I turn it used to pain. I imagined I am getting a paralysis attack. It was painful. I immediatly went to the nearby hospital emergency center and the doctor asked me about my medical history (which is healthy). He asked if I did any exercise and I said NO. He took an BP and it was normal. He took x-ray and it was absolutely normal. He gave me a prescription of NAPROSYN EC-500 mg which is I think for heartburn. I doubt if the diagnosys is right because I never felt any burning sensation in my chest. I ignored this incident thinking its one time event. The pain was gone by the time I came home. But the same type of pain I experienced 3 times since then , n it is scary for initial 30, 40 min and starts to vanish then onwards. I am not sure if I should go for a CT -scan or any other steps to get some peace of mind. PLEASE HELP

I have the same popping issue. The doctor thought I had Pluersy and gave me an antibotic. The popping stopped for a while and came back. Not ony do I have a large pop from the center of my chest- it cracks like vertabrae, much like the back when cracked-one verterbrae at a time. It is so common now- I ignore.

I have the same popping issue. I find if I sit at a weird angle or position, I get pain in the centre of my chest and everything locks up. I find that when I pull my shoulders back, it clicks back into place - but doing this it is painful until it clicks but then I am fine. The clicking into place really hurts. It started off once in a while but now it is getting more frequent. This worries me and I don't know what to do.

my chest has been doing this for a year now. sometimes, like today, i can't pop it and it hurts. docs don't know what it is. they just say pop it and move on. I get tightness in chest, hurts to breathe in and bend over. just trying to pop it now.

Hey I have had this problem also and believe its a loose cartridge that has detatched itself from its housing at or near the sternum and rib. It gathers fluids and once popped releases these fluidsand evrythings o.k

Chest pain is discomfort or pain that you feel anywhere along the front of your body between your neck and upper abdomen.
Many people with chest pain fear a heart attack. However, there are many possible causes of chest pain. Some causes are mildly inconvenient, while other causes are serious, even life-threatening. Any organ or tissue in your chest can be the source of pain, including your heart, lungs, esophagus, muscles, ribs, tendons, or nerves.

I'm experincing these chest pains as I talk... It comes and goes, like every three months... You feellike it has to crack to feel better... But if I just leave it alone it will go away but that can take a couple of days.... If I lay on my back it feels better... It hurts to flex my chest or put my arms straight in front of me and put my hands together ... Does any one know what's up wit this???

I know the pain. I always get really scared and cant move my arms or get up from sitting without making it worse. My husband says he gets it too and its no big deal. I remember one time when I was little I had that weird feeling and my dad told me it was just enflammed cartlege. I hope he is right. I have had it a few times over the years here and there. It always freaks me out though. I hope it is not serious.

Has anyone found an answer here? I have had these exact same problems for years. I'm a 22 year old male, pretty healthy and active. If someone knows what the heck is going on i'd love to learn more about this.

Hi all. Firstly, don’t panic! I've had the same chest pain (which is relieved when it clicks) for some years now. It used to happen once a week or so, and now happens many times a day. I haven't managed to find a definitive answer, but I know that it is not life threatening. It's the same thing that happens when you crack your knuckles.
When it clicks, I can feel the popping sensation close to the surface of my chest. Sometimes I try to make it pop but it doesn't - and can feel a bit painful, but it does pop if I try again after a short while. If you experience significant pain, or a different kind of chest pain - go to a doctor. I hope this reassures some of you.

Precordial Catch Syndrome. I have had it since I was a child and I finally found the diagnosis... Check it out- it is not anything to be concerned about- just more of a painful annoyance :)

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Taurus

Get involved in financial transactions at your peril under today's Lunar Eclipse, because certain people will use them as a stick to beat you with. For instance, if you ask someone to lend you money they'll either make you feel guilty about it or dredge up all sorts of past instances when their trust was betrayed. You would also be well advised to avoid any show of possessiveness or jealousy, even if you feel it, unless you truly don't care about the disastrous outcome.
