To those of you suffering from anexity:
I too suffered from severe anxiety for a few years. This is what worked for me.

1. Get a full medical exam
2. See a therapist for anxiety, I saw a Psychologist, she put my life back on track.

Treat yourself WELL!, be nice to yourself.

Avoid COFFEE and stimulants, like alcohol, sodas, chocolates, cold medicines, diet pills, commercial drink loaded with caffeine.
Some people think food additives like food dye is a stimulate as well.

Avoid toxic friends and "FAMILY" members who seem to want to help, but really make you feel worst!

Don't over exercise or exercise at night if you have trouble sleeping.(I even avoid watching violent TV shows and the news late at night) I prefer comedies like funny videos. I keep a list of things to do at night in case I can't sleep.( I still have interrupted sleep but it doesn't even bother me.)

Learn meditation techniques.
Meditation will stop anxiety but you must practice it regularly. Meditation music and meditation tapes are good.

Some medication can help some can make you more anxious or dependent. For me, medication was something I took very rarely, but just carrying the pills made me feel better and a little in control.

PRAY, it works!

I take a mulit vitamin and 2 calcium vitamins at night, if you need to, break it in half so you can swallow them.

Hey I'm not a medical doctor but in my opinion: It's better for you if discover the situation in your life that makes you anxious, and either change your life or hope the situation passes in time.

Books like "the Secret" or the "Power of Positive thinking" may also help. You can change your life and it can be better.

Best wishes

I beat it, You can too.

Hey you heartless goofballs, why you gotta be so rude to people? Makes ya feel better eh... You know what, these people are going through hell, and no matter what they did in their lifetime, shouldn't matter! Have a freakin heart and quit being such dickheads...just pisses me off, I can't believe you's. And as for the people that have some heart, keep up the good work. I appreciate all of the nice posts from people out there, taking their time to try and help.

Hey David, I have smoked weed everyday, all day pretty much for 5 years, and I have been quit for 3 years. I decided to quit when I started feeling my chest get heavier and heavier, and pains in the same area as you mentioned. I feel much better now that I have been keeping in shape by walking and jogging, and stretching. I also keep active by playing baseball in the summers and hockey in the winters. I would say for you, even if you quit for a month or 2 just to see what happens, you won't even need to take as much to feel good when you start back up again...

Inflammation is at the root of many chronic diseases. The causes of inflammation are many, including diet, lifestyle, and stress. Chronic stress has the potential to cause inflammation in the body, and lead to serious health problems..

It's good to hear that others suffer the same thing. I started getting this pain on my left side two weeks ago. I had suffered from a cold and cough for nearly three weeks before that. It got worse as I was sitting in the office one day, and I thought i was having a heart attack so i went to the doctor who diagnosed it as muscular inflammation and gave me a drug to bring it down. The pain has now moved from the top of my chest to the lower centre and sometimes makes me get nauseous. It is bad when I lie in bed and sometimes goes away that I hardly notice it. The drugs have not cured it over the past week, and i was about to go for an x ray,. Having read the other messages I realise there s is probably no point in an ex-ray so maybe I will not bother, and just try to take it easy, relax as much as i can and hope this will go away.

Damn i thought i was the only one. Dnt feel so alone now. I go my fist panic attack @ work kinda scary. ihave been having inflammation in my upper abdomin and chest for about a year now i guess all the stress and worring got the best of me and now i have to deal with these heart palpatations. Man what a life. I know god wont give me anything i cant handle so i keep moving on. The only advice i can give if u feel like ur gonna have a panic attack breath slowly in a paper bag it definitely calms me down. Now with the inflammation in ur body go to the doctor and eliminate anything and everything sooner or later you will find the problem. Hope everyone gets better. Oh and it doesnt hurt to go to church and get prayed for.

costochondritis- I have had this problem on and of for over a year, and 6 years ago, it's inflammation of connecting cartilage between the sternum and the ribs. I know how you feel about panic attacks, being so close to the heart if I focus on it too much that dread comes down on me. I don't think there is much you can do, but you should absolutely rule out heart problems first. Since I've had this more than once, I'm now at the point of....Is this the same of something new? Am I having heart problems now? My pain is on the left side, and sometimes through to the shoulder, not on both sides.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Pisces

Relationships are kind of shaky under this Lunar Cycle and you may even get the distinct impression you're heading for a major showdown with a certain someone. Although this feels like a crisis, don't let panic or desperation push you into decisions you would normally steer clear of. You may think you've reached the end of the road, but this isn't a good reason to go off the deep end and make drastic decisions. Proceed with caution!
