My mother, 2 sisters and brother have been tested positive for Celiacs. My mother strictly follows the diet and by biopsy of the stomach lining, she no longer shows positive. My siblings on the other hand, do not have as serious a case so they eat/ don't eat wheat as they desire. But they are ready for the consequences when they indulge. Through them, and their search for foods and support groups, I have seen the knowledge basis and number of peeople affected, increase. The food and food choices has improved and support is easier to find.
