I was diagnosed with celiac disease last Nov. at 35 yrs old. I go to local specialty food stores to buy gluten free products, but it's so difficult finding baked goods. I am going to visit this bakery very soon. Thank you so much channel 6 for informing viewers about this bakery.

Thank you for bringing this story and store to the public. I was the guy featured in the article a month or so ago in the Tulsa World. If we continue to get the awareness of gluten out to our community, we will start to see more restaurants and stores cater to the needs of people with gluten sensitivity. I have seen other towns especially up north for some reason that have an amazing awareness. We will get there with the help of people like you. Thank you again to both News6 and CC's Gluten Free Food. I look forward to visiting you in Wagoner very soon. Eric

I hope they don't make "glutens" of themselves, now that they can have baked goods.

We celiacs have a support group here in Tulsa.
Go to www.csatulsa.org to find out more information. Our next meetin is in October - which is Celiac Awareness Month. I have been to CC's and it is absolutely wonderful. I was the one who emailed Rick Wells at a friends urging and I am so glad he did the story! WOO HOO!!

My grandson was just diagnosed with severe food allergies. He is allergic to everything except air. All milk products, wheats, corn, bananas, beef, cats, dogs, certain trees and grasses...the list goes on and on. He is two years old and has been sick almost his entire life.

His symptoms were different then most in that he doesn't have show most symptoms. The foods were shutting down his immune system, therefore he was becoming ill all the time.

He has now been on a gluten free (and everything else) diet since May and he hasn't been sick once!!! I'm so happy he is getting better.

It is very expensive to eat gluten free. Not to mention the social aspect. Kids birthday's with cake and ice cream that your child can't partake in. Restaurants...you pretty much have to bring your own food, or at least we do to feed the little one.

I will tell my daughter about this bakery, she will be excited.

I also wanted to let everyone know to check out PF Changs online menu, they have a completely seperate Gluten free menu. I will list the other restaurants below I have found their menu's online that has things underneath each item to avoid to gluten....

Outback Steakhouse
Carino's Italian Grill
Chili's
Carrabba's
LoneStar

Also, there is a website you can sign up and be able to see every known restaurant (some not in Tulsa) that has gluten free menu's.
