yes one percent of the population has it and 90% of those do not know they have it because US docs either do not want to DX it because there is no kickback from the pill compines or do not know what to look for, celiac disease has over 100 symptoms and docs just think stomach pain and weight loss and the big D when many people have weight gain and the big C if you have IBS I would encourage you to have your doc test for celiac also, it may not be IBS or acid reflux it just may be celaic. Over all I liked the article BUT I still eat cupcakes, pizza, spaggetti I just eat them gluten free, so there is not a no more of this it is just different.

Glad the Berkshire are helping people that can't have wheat products and found you can live a happy life gluten free. I live in Austin Texas and we have some many great stores,shops and restaurant that ca-tore for people that can't have wheat. Nice to know other cities are getting with the program...
