My sister in law has been put on hospice and has been having pain in her back and stomach from her cancer. She had one lung removed five years ago...and the cancer has now spread to her other lung and other organs. The doctors have stopped all treatment on her. She is now only receiving pain meds to make her more comfortable. She has her good and not so good days. Being a realist, I know that Naxavar will not save her life at this stage of her cancer, but will it prolong her life with more days of quailty...or will it just be more days of misery? Your comments and thoughts PLEASE!

My dad has RCC with metastases in the lungs and has been on Nexavar for the past eight months off and on. His side effects were really bad for a while but now except for the stomach upset he's doing fine. The tumors in his lungs have been contained so far. But unfortunately we have been informed that Nexavar is now going to be directly available in India but at a much higher rate - more than we can afford - which means he cannot take it anymore. I was wondering if anyone knew of any assistance program which can help him to continue on Nexavar.

Hey..
My dad was suffering from lung cancer and he passed away a month back. I have a pack of sealed NEXAVAR shipped in from USA. As its of no use to me, anybody in need can contact me for it. I m residing in Chandigarh, India.
The cost will be relatively low.
Thanx.

My father is 72 years old and is now a Dialysis patient. He has a high blood pressure and had done angioplasty in 2003 and had 3 stents on his heart. He is recently diagnosed with a tumour on his liver. Doctor suggested to take Nexavar. With all the side effects of Nexavar, Will it safe to take the medicine considering his health condition? Any comments will be highly appreciated.

My husband Cal has been on nexavar since last fall and his AFP narker has fallen over 12,000 points. He has been feeling better and has began to eat again, his fatiqe is still a problem but that has even improved. Cal was given a terminal diagnosis in Nov 16th 2005. He has HCC but through prayer,Dr Rath vitamins, carrot juice daily, and now nexavar his good days have been more than his bad days. Cal also suffers from esphofcal varices, Hep C. and cirossis. Is ther any more we can do?
My dad has been diagnosed with HCC and the tumours are many ranging from the largest at 10cm down to 1cm. He is going on Nexavar and we are wonderig if all the horror stories about side effects are true. What was your experience life? We are all really depressed about his life expectancy but you seem to have beaten the odds so far? Many thanks
