Pfizer Inc. must pay about $75 million in punitive damages to an Illinois woman who developed cancer after taking one of the drugmakera s menopause treatments, people familiar with a sealed verdict in the case said.

Pfizer has an excellent strategy. Take every suit to trial and watch the damages double every year. Their attorneys must have clerked for the high rollers in Vegas. Unfortunately, for Pfizer, they have the paradigm in reverse, must have gone to Harvard Law.
