Oh for God's sake -- they can't just report that they have a new way to test for new treatments -- they have to make it "another tough decisions!"

Whoever wrote that article has certainly never faced cancer, so maybe I can help:

They're ALL tough decisions! Having cancer means having to make some tough decisions!

THIS ONE, however, can point to better treatment. That makes it EASIER ... not tougher.

Good Lord. I've had breast cancer, AND my mother and grandmother had it. My daughters don't need a gene test to tell them that they're genetically vulnerable. However, A BCRA test won't give them all the answers ...

because we haven't found all the genes yet, and the ones we're finding have complex relationships with other genes. THAT'S what's tough about it. There's so much we don't now. What we do know isn't nearly as scary as what we don't know.

I HOPE it's the reporter whose brains fell out, and not the reseachers'...
