Usually at the age you are taking Flomax, a decrease in Semen is not a problem. Just a different feeling as you ejaculate.

silly problem, but l use to shoot myself on the forehead on ejacjulation, now l cant make my belly button, lm a healthy 50yr, had doctor jelly finger and psd, that part checked out ok. ???

decrease; does this mean just merely in AMOUNT? or potency as well.(bf (51) is prescribed Flowmax... but my problem or concern with this, is i am 26. no kids, and am now wondering....) Maybe theres some alternative w/o sucha side effect... any input appreciated

since being put on flomax because my prostate is swollen when i climax and then ejaculate no semen comes out not even pre - semen ??? im a little worried as this side effect was not told to me by the docter anybody else have same symptoms

Flomax is a Alpha 2 blocker related exactly to Proscar, Propecia, and the chemical name is finasteride. It reduces the Amnt, of DHT or dihydrotestosterone. The inhibition of ejactulate is lowered gonanatropin or testosterone.

No, I don't think that's right. Flomax is Tamsulosin, and targets muscles in the prostate. Finasteride is a different thing and affects the hormone system; they believe both drugs in combination produce a superior solution to the bph symptoms. However, I am starting on tamsulosin hoping I won't need the finasteride; the adverse effects of this second drug, i.e. the possibility of reduced sexual potency, are highish. All this is available on the internet.
