<quoted text> I didn't mean to sound harsh. But most people are not aware that Botox is an incredible drug that is used for medical purposes more often than cosmetic reasons. People know it because of the miracle wrinkle removing effect. But that is not what the drug originally was used for. They discovered the cosmetic improvements as a side effect when used on patients with medical indications. It is used for severe spasticity in children and adults, eye twitching.......and that list goes on. Its the only drug that really helps people with severe headaches......etc. It is a purified toxin that is no longer active and therefor can not cause botulism. Yes people can have a reaction to that drug just like any other. They can get" botulism like"symptoms, which will go away after a couple days ..... But to go on television and campaign to get Botox off the market, is irresponsible and selfish. Her experience is misleading to the general public.
I have learned something new today which proves even at 50 we can still learn. sorry!

I am pleased to read that. I think the day we stop learning is the day to stop living. Life is a journey and what makes it great is making mistakes and learning from them. Don't ever stop learning !

I agree with that thought but that will never happen! More and more drugs, lifts, fillers....... will be created. And people will have great, good and bad results. Question is, should they take the makers of such to court? What does it mean when we sign our name on the bottom of a consent form? What does it say to sign a consent form, agreeing to accept all the side effects and risks and when they actually happen, we run to court???!!!! Have an accident? Make the car maker pay you! Drug reaction? Take the maker to the cleaner!......... Life is full of risks and choices. And the end of the day, it's all of us paying for lawsuits like that one. Cars cost more so the makers can defend themselves in court, drugs cost more and more so the makers can defend themselves, health insurance costs a fortune because they have to pay for the prescribed drugs thru their noses as well. If you agree to take a drug or get injected with one, you have to take the consequences. There will never, ever be a drug that is safe for every person taking it! And that's the way it is and always will be!

Still working thru it with slow improvement. Vision is now OK, swallowing slowly improving. I had 5 injections, swallowing problems started after a neck injection. My GP is from Canada & totally against Botox. Glad it works for you.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
