Well, of course they got sick. They didn't eat the product during the best time as indicated in the article ... with "best by" dates from April 30, 2009, through May 22, 2009.

idiot-the expiration date had nothing to do with botulism-it was in there at the time of canning
Gotta disagree. I've done some research on botulism - for a small organism, it has an AMAZING temporal sense...

That means that you need to eat it BEFORE the "best by" dates.

idiot-it was a joke about the obvious error regarding the expiration date. Now get back to work and stop playing around on the computer.

People should use this stuff on their faces instead of getting the botox injections.
"Symptoms of botulism include double or blurred vision, drooping eyelids, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, dry mouth and muscle weakness that moves down the body, according to the CDC."
Those are also symptoms you get from Rosie O'Donnell.

I wonder how many illegal immigrants work at the facility that cans that sauce. I know they are all highly skilled employees that adhere to OSHA standards. We are going to see more and more of this. Think about why they can sell something for a dirt cheap price the next time you shop.

"Where were the parents?" Depends on how old the kids were. Could have been 17 for all we know. But even a ten year old can heat a can of chili in the microwave.

And I've got like 15 cans of this stuff in my house -- we love chili dogs!
