I know some children with cerebral palsy who have received this treatment with favorable (although certainly not remarkable) results. This information would make me re-evaluate the trade-off.

As the parent of a child with CP who has phyical limitations, the word Botox is a common mentioned treatment for his rigid muscles. In our opinion it is a band aid fix and not a permanent one, that is why you take a shot every 3-6 months. We know of kids who have improved their mobility but the question is at what price???? Furthermore, there are not enough studies for long term effects. As parents, the choice is yours but do your reseach and make a wise decision since your child life may depend on it.

My child has received one Botox treatment and we have seen nice results, although we are now debating whether to continue. We waited until other more conventional treatments (i.e., therapy, constraint) had not given us much improvement after almost 4 yrs of treatment. For the first time in her life, our daughter can wiggle three fingers in her affected hand. We had thought we researched this thoroughly, but hadn't heard of any issues. We were having it done at Miami Childrens Hospital on top of it.
Those who are quick to criticize cannot understand the pain and cost of having a handicapped child. And although injecting toxin into your muscles may sound crazy, before you make sarcastic comments, remember that vaccinations are the injection of viruses into your body. Theoretically speaking, this is no more crazy than that.

Taurus

This is another day in which you should be monitoring the progress you've made so far with the festivities and deciding what has still to be done. You're operating very efficiently right now but you'll be even more effective if you can plan your time carefully, write lists of what you must buy or make, and be realistic about your capabilities.
