Thanks for the recall, Kroger Co. You probably have prevented many from getting very sick.

yKen, that's not really true. Unless food is handled properly, it can become contaminated, even at home!

The nation's food supply is not safe. Larger volume of goods traveling long distances and profit driven suppliers are making it increasingly unsafe for the consumer.

Speaking of Marsh, I heard that they're getting rid of the "plastic", as in "paper or plastic". If that's true, maybe I start shopping there (even with their higher prices) and leave the Kroger family of stores.

I wouldn't want to buy bean salad that someone put their taint on! That's pretty darn gross. It's a good thing they figured it out and recalled it!

I am guessing that this is somehow tied into that Noblesville gas leak.

Isn't this the second or third recall of a deli salad by Kroger? I remember the recall of potato salad in the summer of 2007. I wonder what foriegn country the green beans came from. Isn't it more than a little dangerous to get our food from other countries? We don't know who is handling it and most countries do not have the same safety and health standards we have in the US.

DO WE KNOW WHO HANDLES THE FOOD IN THIS COUNTRY?

Oh gawd! I got them Fava Beans coming out of all parts of me. And my dog ate some too and he is sick all over the yard. He's been eating grass but that doesn't seem to help. I feel so bad I think I might eat some grass. I've been to the toilet so many times you could cut the hemmoroids off me like strawberry donuts. I just need to get on the raod road to recovery, here. Maybe it was the undercooked, room temprature shrimps I ate at the Chinese buffet???
