Seeing the article brought tears to my eyes. Many thanks to Bruce Canepa and his team and MAW. Briana is smiling down on her Mom and the pink Mustang.

This story almost made me cry. My heart is with this mother. Children should never go before their parents. She left this for her mom. And mom...your daughter is above protecting you. May she RIP forever.

Bruce and his operation are truly a blessing to have in our town! Not only has he "classed up" SV Drive, but has led the way to caring with his generous heart! Let no good deed go unnoticed ..
I commend Bruce and his crew and the others who pitched in and for doing the right thing!

This article brought tears to my eyes too. Thanks to all of you who participated in restoring this car. What a great testimony to the importance of community.

My parents lost my brother to cancer at 20 years of age. Losing a child at any age is heartbreaking. Losing a child on the brink of adulthood with a bright future clearly visible is especially heartbreaking. This mother is in my prayers, as are all of you who loved her.

beautiful car. so sad she didn't get her "wish" before passing. how can we help prevent this type of long delay in the future? i thought make-a-wish was for critically ill children, shouldn't this have been a top priority for the people working on the car?

Really? If you have nothing nice to say, you really shouldn't say anything at all. To all her family and friends, it is very offensive. YOU have no clue how much everyone went through standing by Briana's side as she bravely fought for her life. This was HER dream car that was her mothers and that her passed down to her, why in the world would her mom ever want to get rid of something that meant so much to both of them? Briana was an amazing young lady and her mom is an amazing mother and Briana would want nothing more than for her mom to keep it and drive it!!! You really should have some compassion!

Briana was a really pretty nice girl and we will all miss her she was a very strong girl with a amazing story!:) we will all miss you Briana we know you look down from heaven and can see your wish and dream and how amazed you are with it! and the cool part about it is it is what you wanted and you would want your family to have it as a memory of what a wonderful girl you were!!! and something you wanted.:) WE ALL MISS YOU!!! Dont listen to the people who say get rid of the car it is not right to get rid of it it is what you wanted and after all the time they have worked and everyone has waited to look and see how amazing it was and what a good memory it was of your choice!! we miss you Briana!:) <3

Are you kidding? after all the work they put into it and what Briana's last wish was knowing Briana she would want her mom and family to keep it in memory of what she really wanted think before you speak you have NO IDEA how hard it was for Briana's friend and family. If someone in there family heard this it would bring even more tears.

Briana's mom was happy to see the car when we uncovered it, wit brianas grand mother showing us she still went to prom, and telling us she would of loved it, we did this make a wish for her and we made it right. I know its hard for her mother to drive the car cause I hardly ever see it around Santa Cruz, r.i.p briana, god loves you,
