No good deed goes undone...Brianna is watching and smiling as you made her mother happy and gave her back a small part of what she has lost.
You all rock!!!! To have given so much of your time, talent and love for this girl, is simply amazing. There needs to be more folks like you, for sure!!!

My heart filled with love and joy this morning with this story ... all we leave when we die are our memories - nothing else has value .. this precious girl left her mom with many conversations about her car, where she was going to take it ... how excited she was ... talks her mom will cry and smile over in the years to come. The people who made this dream become reality are angels .. the quiet heroes on this planet that do things because it is the right thing to do - not for fame and glory. Senor Taco, you are a very young soul and I wish I could just give you a hug .. you have so much growing to do and that makes life so much harder to live ...You are in my prayers and I hope this life grants you many blessings so you can become a man, not just a hurt child striking out when you hear about goodness.

Canepa Design employees, and all others who had anything to do with restoring this car, hold your head's high. It was a great thing that you did. It would have been nice for the daughter to have received it, but finishing it for Mom was awesome! You guys do rock!!

What's wrong with brightening up someone's day? Especially after the loss of a loved one. I don't understand your comment. What better way for the daughter to be remembered than this? Every time her mother looks at the car, the memory of her daughter will be there. I think it was a great thing for those guys to do.

you do realize that they did TRY to get this accomplished BEFORE she passed away...having lost a good friend 3 years ago to long term cancer,I know the heart-ache that the family feels.I was lucky enough to finish the engine dress up on her 67 Camero that she and her father started but could not finish due to his dying of cancer then her being diagnosed a short time later. The smile on her face when she saw the car was priceless.

Canepa, you guys are awesome! Everybody is awesome that put work into her car. My thoughts are with the family. This is a tragic story where the best intentions were meant, time was volunteered, no money was wasted. But Senor Taco is wasting all of our time, why don't you go away. Let us appreciate the hardwork done to hopefully get this girls mind off the cancer, she died and that is tragic. But she lives on as a sweet little ride.

Seems to me Brianna was given a wish to make. Her wish. What did she want ? What did she want to remember or experience before dying ?
Seems to me she choose to experience , joy, and happiness as her last wish. It represents a dying daughters gift to her mother. A gift that represesnts how much Brianna loved her mother. Brianna's memory and her love is in that car.I know that if i ever see that car , I will remember Brianna, and i had never even heard of her before today. Branna choose a gift of love for her mother. That seems to have been her last wish.

Senor Taco...your comments and state of mind are so sad.
When the world becomes a place where spending money and time to help one another and bringing a little happiness to lives that have been shattered and crushed out are determined to be a waste...then pretty much every other human effort is a waste and humanity in its best form will be extinguished.
Canepa guys and others who helped...you are fabulous human beings. In a world where selfishness and darkness often trample goodness, your actions are heroic. Thank you.

Thanks to all who gave on this wonderful project. Many who pass away early want the wish for others so they may have more than a memory to hold onto. Taco is just crying for help in reaching the real meaning in life. Contribute to unselfish projects like this and other charitable causes and find that freedom.

Knowing what this car means to several generations of beautiful woman I tear up reading this article, joy for the love shown through this act of the Canepa folks & the make-a-wish foundation mixed with the grief of losing such a precious girl at such a young age. This car is a lot more than a vehicle now. It's a monument to life & beauty.

The original blue mustang was her family's transportation car for many years. Before her diagnosis in 2007, Briana was planning to spend the summer working like crazy to afford a pink paint job (as well as getting her driver's license). Once her plans were forever altered by cancer, she was delighted when Make-a-Wish offered to paint it for her. The only stipulation was that she get her license first. While she bravely endured horrible leg replacement and lung surgeries and months of chemo, she held her head high through physical therapy, fighting first to wiggle her big toe, then to walk again, and on to her driver's license. She was hoping to have put it all behind her when the cancer was found in her spine just 9 months before she died. She began more chemo and radiation. Meanwhile, she completed high school, went to prom with the love of her life and got into UCSC. She had completed her treatments when she suddenly had to get a feeding tube due to radiation damage to her esophagus. She had a seizure (blood clot?) a month later that killed her. The car is lovely...just as Briana wanted it. So sad that she's not here to drive it. But, the HOPE and anticipation of driving her pretty pink car helped her to fight for her life everyday with a twinkle in her eye. We miss you Briana...We will think of you every time we see your car cruisin' the cliffs! Thank you MAW and Canepa et al.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
