I've had to "put down" all but one of my pets, over the years, because of failing health.

Knowing when let them go is never easy. But I believe it's the best gift an owner can give a pet.

Dearest Teresa,
As a fellow dog lover, my heart goes out to you and your wonderful angel of a dog. May God's blessing be with both of you always. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you have felt throughout this entire ordeal. Nero is lucky to have a strong woman like you as his owner. I hope that if I'm ever faced with anything like this I am able to show the courage that you have shown to your beloved pet. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us. I hope to hug Nero one day myself. Hugs and kisses to you both.

Dear Theresa,
Nero really is like W. Churchill! I still remember the time he came to visit and howled at me so imperiously! Your heart-warming article does him justice. Great picture of you guys! And thanks for mentioning how he loves my treats!
Come by again soon - I will have more treats, and we're not quite so busy now...
Love,
Mary

Thank you for your thoughts, Moe. I've experienced that before too, and am sorry for your losses. Luckily, Nero is still enjoying good quality of life.

Brian, your treats are always welcome!

Linda, you are so sweet. Nero and I greatly appreciate your kind words, and looking forward to having you guys meet soon!

Mary, thank you for always giving Nero a warm welcome at City Hall.

Ho conosciuto nero quando era un cucciolo, mi dispiace per quello che gli è accaduto, sono sempre più convinto che gli animali sono migliori delle persone.Alessandro

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Libra

It's another day when tensions are rife and you feel stretched to breaking point. You might even totally lose your temper with someone, instead of merely snapping at them as you did yesterday. Mars stomps into reverse today, so it would be better to clear the air now with a row, and then forget all about it, rather than allowing bad feelings to accumulate and fester inside you.
