I lost my sister to Breast cancer which eventualy spread to her lungs, spine, hips and brain and liver.
It took 15years fom the time she was diagnosed but she hung in ther for her sons. I say where there is a will there is a wa. Honestly, I do not think I would have personaly lasted that long so strong but my sister Camillia Keith had more than a will she was a warrior willing to fight this $%^&*() disease. You do too! ight. Hi,
My dad was just diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer primary was his throat. We didnt even believe it as he had been cancer free for a year. He is in a lot of pain. I have a question ...is it stage 4 if it has not affected the organs? That is our only hope right now!!!!! good luck to all of you! |

My father had prostate cancer for 9 years and now it is in his bones..all over head to toe spread. I thought he was a real fighter but after 4 weeks of knowing he has 4th stage bone cancer , I believe
he has given up..he is on strong oxycotin 20 mg twice daily and percocet in between,,today I went to check on him and he was quiet bed ridden and we called hospise and they came out and were wonderful. He now has a cather inserted and has no strength to raise up on his own in the bed..I have seen him go quickly down hill fast... I am so hurt that it is happening this fast.. why ? he is 84 years old but he has always been a fighter..but refuses chemo and radiation..how long will he live like this? |

Today I just got the news that my Father who is 79 years old has stage 4 bone cancer. Two months ago, his doctor was doing a routine check-up and ordered a chest x-ray. The x-ray showed a "quarter" size spot. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and they removed part of his lung, but then test showed it spread to his lymph nodes, and today we got the news it is stage 4 bone cancer. He was told that with NO treatment, he has 6-9 months to live, and without treatment, he has 12-18 months to live. I guess my question is, I am not ready to lose my Dad, and who really is? But I am wanting to know if the treatmeant is worth going through all that.. what are some results others have faced? Thank you for your comments and views.

I am sorry to hear this.. I will pray for you... |
When my mom was diagnosed we didn't have opportunity for treatment, she passed the next month. She would have taken treatment if she could have. I really just wanted to say that the doctors are just guessing on the time frame with and without treatment. You could lose your father much sooner than you expect so I would consider treatment. Of course I don't have cancer (yet) so that is just my opinion. |

This is quite dangerous considering its stage 4 already. However, miracles can always happen. http://www.fosamaxfemurfracturelawsuit.com/fe...

I want to know where all this cancer is coming from! Now the orange juice in the states is bad. My aunt just received news of stage 4... It is everywhere. I don't understand how she could have been asymptomatic so long? It's time that this country demands answers from the FDA and these drug companies. In the 1970's, you hardly knew anyone with cancer. Now, everyone has it. This is an outrage.

Nine years ago we found out my dad (68)has prostate cancer jus found out he has stage four bone cancer 3weeks ago. He's refusing all treatments. Its breaking my heart that's my daddy and I can't help but be there. He's still in shock and not believing. He goes tomorrow for second opinion results. All I do is pray. I pray everyday for him. If anyone knows or help please let me know. And pray for my daddy.

My father survived prostate and liver cancer. He was given 6 months to live 16 years ago. He had a dangerous liver surgery that nearly killed him and took many chemo treatments plus some home vitamins. The cancer almost killed him, but he survived.
Sorry to say now at the age of 70 he has been diagnosed with state 4 bone cancer. He is taking hormone injections and was on a trial medicine for about a year. He got new test results and the cancer treatments have not stopped the cancer from spreading. He told me that the trial medicine he was taking made him feel tired, pain in his bones and sick to his stomach. The side effects of the medicine were making what time he has left miserable. I told him that he should take himself off all of the meds that were making him feel bad, so that he can maybe enjoy what time he has left with his family and doing things that he has been wanting to do. He told me that he wants to keep fighting the cancer. He says he is worried about his youngest son (18yrs old) and the family business. Of course I will support his wishes, because if he wants to fight the cancer then he will be doing what he wants. I let him know that we will all be ok and dying in part of living. We are all headed to a better place, and he should not be scarred of the passing over into the hands of god. I think the most important thing to do now is to let him know that we all will be ok after he is gone, because everyone should be able to die in peace without worries. |

Hello my brother has stage 4 cancer.... He has gone through radiation and it's been a month since then... He has been eating organic food especially the cancer killer cells food which is Flax oil or seeds mixed with cottage cheese.... So far he's looking great.... During my research with cancer I have found that 3 things cause cancer...1 jaw or facial pain, and root canals. 2 is stress, 3 is a poor diet.

My dad was diagnosed with a low grade prostate cancer last year July. He went for surgery started his chemotherapy. Also down the road had a few really bad infections but came back 100%. He gas been having trouble walking a lot lately and they ran tests and found three spots in his left thigh. They said it could be an infection or possibly cancer. Which no one wanted to think it was cancer. Now today to find out he has stage 4 pelvic cancer on the bone or just bone cancer. We are all praying for the best and hoping everything works out. Does anyone know if its curable or not?!...do we have any hope of it going away? They started him on really high dosage of pain patches. Does this mean they are making him as comfortable as can be so he can do what he can till the cancer takes over? What are our options?

My dad is 56 and had prostate cancer that surgery and chemotherapy supposedly removed. And now today we find out that he has stage 4 bone cancer. I'm going crazy. He has been fine up until July of 2011. He is on a patch that has a lot of pain medication in it. It starts with an f. Its got a family of different morphines in it and other stuff. You should talk to your dad or go with him to the doctor and mention it to them and see what they say. |
|
Going through the very same thing with my Dad right now, praying he doesn't have to suffer in this pain much longer and wondering if there is some sort of time line for "final stage" of this cancer. God bless and help us all cope with the trials ahead and helping our loved ones get through it. |
