Ugh iv been trying to get my gf off bc for years and its finally happening this month, due to NO sex drive obviously. Now im worried hers will never come back. We plan on using natural stuff to try to get it back if it doesnt come back itself within a two months or so. Best of luck to all of you, and there is a way to fix it for everyone using natural herbs etc, you just need to find out that works for you. One that we tried a few months ago was the "her solution" pills/ gel. But the pills made her spot which she didnt like so we stopped cause they werent working anyways. Gel helped with pleasure for her maybe first 10 times, but didnt increase libido. We will most likley try the rest of the her solution pills after she stops bc if her libido doesnt come back. If not, i know there are like 10 other natural herbs that are for increasing libido. Goodluck everyone !

I have been taking birth control since I was 16 and am now 21. I recently stopped taking birth control about 6 months ago and simply have no desire to have sex. Its hard to even want to kiss because I kno I'm not going to want anything more. I have a boyfriend that I have been with for about 2 years n over time he has noticed the huge decrease in my sex drive (it went from rarely to never) and now he's sick of it as well as I am. He's constantly accusing me of cheating or just not bein interested in him which is really not true, I'm just honestly NEVER in the mood. Are there any natural tips for putting yourself in the mood? And will this/ could this ever change?

I didnt even realize so many woman had this problem. I feel horrible so many feel as I do but its nice to not be alone. Okay, heres my story.
My boyfriend and I have been dating for over 2yrs. We always used condoms until last july when we decided we wanted to move across country together. He moved 3mo before me to get everything set and thats when I started using seasonique(sp?). This was my first time using any form of birth control besides condoms and I turned into a lunatic! I didnt realize how bad I was until I saw my boyfriend 3mo later and wasnt even happy to see him. I was emotionally, just, numb. Over anything else though, I have always had an extremely high sexual craving and it was absolutely gone along with the fact that I would hardly get wet when I would attempt to be in the mood.
At first I thought maybe the move did it, stress, life altering decision, but it was all for the better. I had less stress than ever before and I was/am in a great relationship. I decided to stop taking the pill in November, only 5mo later. My emotions went back to normal, thank goodness but my sex drive and lubrication issue has barely improved. I dont know what to do. I feel like less of a woman for not wanting sex or for not wanting to express myself in that way to my boyfriend. Im only 21 and cant imagine not having that craving for sex ever again. Please help.

I am having a terrible time with getting my sex drive back after have been taking birth control pills for almost two years. Me and my boyfriend have always used condoms, but to be safe I also got on birth control. First I started with Microgestin and I gained a massive amount of weight. At first I didn't notice the lost of my sex drive because we were still having sex as often as we were before. But eventually I wanted to have sex less and less. I tried switching to another birth control pill which was called Tri-Sprintec and that didnt help either. Now with me and my boyfriends relationship its beginning to become a really big problem because I dont have the desire to have sex at all anymore. I feel as if its my fault because this issue is putting a really big strain on our relationship. He is trying his best to be supportive and understanding and he is trying to deal with it but I can tell that it is really hard. I dont know what to do anymore because it seems like there really is not anything that I can do. He tells me not to really worry about but i cant help but worry about because i care about him and our relationship very very much. I wish there was some sort of easy and simple solution to my problem because I plan on being with him for a long time, but this issue is really a downer. Any advice anyone could possibly give me??? I'm really desperate

I have been on loestrin 24 for about 3 and a half years, which is about the duration of me and my boyfriend's relationship. Before I started loestrin, I used to be a more sexual person. Now I don't even like to kiss! Having sex with my boyfriend has come to be like a chore. It sucks bc it puts such a strain on our relationship and I feel like it's my fault. My boyfriend is also very understanding, but I know it sucks for him! I'm finally switching birth controls from loestrin to tricyclen after this next pack. I'm hoping it will help my sex drive and my mood swings bc it is triphasic instead of monophasic, but I'm so scared it won't!

My boyfriend and I have been dealing with my seemingly negative sex drive for a few years now, and it is seriously a huge effing problem. He has been so supportive, but the man has needs that I just can't fulfill right now and it makes me feel horrible!! When I first started taking BC, I was on some type of pill, but I quickly switched to the nuva ring as I could just not remember to take the pill reliably. I loved the ring, but we realized a few months in that my sex drive turned to dust. I am a girl who loves some kinky, borderline effed up sex, but even my greatest fantasies meant nothing to me at that point. I went to the paraguard, the non-hormonal IUD, but nothing is better...
Thankfully at my job (psychiatric nurse) I will be full time starting in August, so I will have some good benefits, which will hopefully help pay for some hormonal testing. I saw an earlier post where someone said they were going to get some hormonal testing done but I don't think they ever wrote again. Has anyone else gotten this testing done?
I'm only 25, I need my damn sex drive!!

I'm right there with you guys. I'd been on Ortho Tri Lo for like 6 years, had a child went back on for another year and stopped for another child. I went back on it for like 6 months after my 2nd child and started realizing that maybe that was the reason I wanted nothing to do with sex. I felt horrible for my husband, but I am just never in the mood for it. I just started on Loestrin 24 to see if that will bring it back. I know hormones can change greatly after kids but it's getting incredibly frustrating. And I'm not overly tired from my 2 kids, it's just no urge . . . at all. I really hope switching will help me out and soon.

Hey. So I've scheduled my hormone test. For today. Hopefully I will get the results by tomorrow, which the lab says is possible, but most likely it'll be Monday. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Andrea wrote: Latest news...I went to see a different GYN and he just put me on Loestrin- started today- as he says that may increase my sex drive. I'm also having my bloodword done, so we'll see what happens. So far, I've had zero sex drive for over a year, and this has definitely been the hardest thing my bf and I have ever had to deal with and it still is. im on loestrin and losing my relationship because it doesn't help at all. it decreases your sex drive

Ok, not that I didn't gain anything from the stories... but does anyone have a solution that worked for them? I just tried "Horny Goat Weed" which is a natural libido enhancer... did NOT work...its primarily for men but it did work for my sister.
Thanks.

I spent a lot of time researching online and recently found a medical journal study that mentioned black cohosh being helpful for gynecological disorders, including menopause and sexual dysfunction. I have started taking it and right away it started working. I am now interested in sex again. Finally, after 2 years. I am so happy! Not sure if black cohosh will work for everyone and in rare cases it has caused liver damage so if you are a heavy drinker I wouldn't try it. I think my estrogen levels were low and the black cohosh seems to have estrogen-like properties. I know this is an old post, but how is your libido now? And do you still take black cohosh? I have had a similar experience...had AWESOME sex drive until 2006 when I started taking YAZ. My sex drive suddenly disappeared (like COMPLETELY) and has never returned. It wasn't until today that it dawned on me that it was probably because of YAZ. I haven't been on birth control since 2008, and still no libido. Its very frustrating...I have a super hot husband who has a normal sex drive. We have sex 1-2 times per week, but I do it for him. I can't even climax.

I was on microgynon 20 for 6 months, and started noticing decrease in my sex drive already during the second month. I got off a month and a half ago and still didn't get it back... I was wondering about how long does it take to get back to normal. Usually you can read on forums that it comes back immediately, but obviously not for me. Well now after reading all those stories about YEARS after pill and still no sex drive I'm pretty scared!! The most frustrating thing is that my GP wouldn't warn me about that and the goddamn pill manufactures wouldn't either! You can read that the pill might cause a decrease in libido, but it doesn't say ANYWHERE that you might not get it back after STOPPING the pill!! I think I'm done with hormonal contraception, i don't believe I'm gonna find something that doesn't work on me. All of them essentially have at least one hormone type in common

So after reading all of these, it's really making me feel like I'm not so alone. But at the same time it's not giving me much hope. I was on the pill for about 6 months...my sex drive was out of control!! And then i switched to the nuva ring mainly for convienvence. I was on that for about another 6 or 7 months before I started noticing all of the side effects. My sex drive started going down drastically at this point, but at least it was still there. I then went back on the pill hoping that it would help. I was on that for about 5 months and then gave up and got off of birth control altogether. Unfortunately, it's been over a year and I almost never want to have sex with my boyfriend of two years. I feel terrible because despite the fact that I'm im in love with him, I NEVER want to and it feels like it's just getting worse. The worst part is that I know he blames himself. Not to mention that it has caused more fights in our relationship because he just doesnt understand. I just don't even know what to do anymore. I need help.

i got off birth control about a month ago and my sex drive is out of control. I was not sure why but it seems like birth control has something to do with it. I should have gotten off of birth control a long time ago! I don't get up at 6:30 in the morning for anything unless I have to, so when i woke my husband up for sex, i was shocked.
