early period while on Birth Control

I've been a jolessa n I've been on it for a yr. N I started spotting a wk before my period. N dis has never happen to me. Yea I did skip two pills but I took em as so as I realized it. N everything was cool until nw. So I b worried

Hello everyone,

Please help me so i can straighten up my mind. Im new on BC and im taking Lutera,this is technically my first month taking it and I got it from Planned Parenthood.

Since I took Lutera (June 2), I have light spot bleeding until yesterday i start seeing a blood clots and or a ribbon when i pee. Then today Its just heavier compare from yesterday so im thinking im in my period now.However, I still have 6 left active white pills plus 7 days pink pills which i believe the placebo or sugar?? Anyway, should I continue drinking the left over active pills including the pink pills and after taking the last pink pill take the new pack of pills the next day?

im taking oralcon pill, then i was caughing and i was using borstol caugh mixture.after two days i started bleeding while i was on white pill.so what causes bleeding.pliz help.can i contineu with my pill.

Jenny: Actually, birth control pills DO stop you from releasing an egg. They also increase the thickness of the mucus in your vagina to add an extra layer of protection. Make sure you have your facts straight before posting info! You may confuse other girls who aren't sure about how birth control pills work.

Actually different types of pills work differently and you post the information your dr gives you so each is going to be different depending on what you are on stop being a bitch

Does anyone know how i can get my period early cause i'm going on a trip and we'll be boating the entire time and i don't want to get my period during that time!

I'm on ortho bc pill and I got my period a week ago and now I seem to be on it again. It's been 4 days that I've been on it. Does any one know what's goin on?

I am on the Ortho cyclen pill. and i have only been taking them a month. I forgot to take them one day at the same time and i took it the next day but now im having a period and im not supposed to.. what does this mean and what should i do?

I started taking sprintec on September 15th which is just a few days before my normal period starts. I haven't started my white pills yet and I was spotting a few days ago and two days ago I started my period. Do I take my white pills now or keep taking the blue ones I have left and skip the white and get a new pack? I don't know what to do I'm afraid to skip any pills bc I don't want to get pregnant in the future.

I have been on yasmin BC for almost two years now. This month i started spotting when i was at the middle of my pack . I just continued taking my pills as normal and i just finished my pack last night . Since this atarted as spotting and a little more than that and i'm already bleeding, i wonder when would i start my next pack. Should i count the days and start it at the normal day as if my period was not early ? This is the first time i have this problem. Is it sonething serious ? Can it be due to stress or the workout that i have recently started ?!

I am currently taking ovral 28 I missed 2 days and got my "period" which I'm not suppose to get til a week from now.what do I do? Continue to take my birth control normally or start taking the pink pills...help Me please

Hey! I'm a bit worried concerning my menstrual cycle but I'm not sure if it's silly or not & I do not want to contact a doctor for no reason.
I started going on the contraceptive patch for a month now. After my second week of using the patch I had sexual intercourse however,the next day I started seeing some spotting but It was brown and I read before that it was dry blood and as I was due to be on my period that week I am not sure if that's the cause. After the spotting lasted for a week on my third week of being on the patch I wasn't sure how to react as I've more or less was on my period for two weeks. It may not be anything. But I would appreciate if some one could help me, by letting me know If it's okay or should I be concerned?

I'm on BC beyaz and am currently on my third month. Yesterday I took the 11th pill in the pack but I started my period. I just got off my period 7 days ago well eight counting today. This isn't just heavy spotting ( I THINK ) bc I'm cramping like normal and my breasts are killing me like usual. So I'm over two weeks early..... Any comments??

I haven't found any info yet.. Today was the last day of my period and I've been taking the active pills like I'm supposed to be..... I find it very strange that I just had a regular period A WEEK AFTER I got OFF my period... Maybe stress could be a major factor in this?

From what I've been told, stress is definitely a major factor in the two and a half week early period. I have another question tho. Since I only have 2 Days left in my active pills should I skip the placebos and go straight to the new pack? I feel that ANOTHER period would really be too much (3 in less than 2 months!!!!! Come on mother nature!!!!).

i was wondering ijust started my bc pill this month and 4 days before i started taking the red pills i had my peiord. and now i am on my red pills and am not bleeding. is that okay? should i still take the red pills?

Yes take you're red pills. It's so very important to take you're pills consecutively everyday.

Im on the pill and i got my period about 2-3weeks early and i always get it on time at the end of the month... why Is this?

I'm guessing for the most part it's because the pills are affecting your hormones and your body is trying to get used to it. Nothing to be worried about. ;-)
