The exact same is happening to me :( my man was away in the afghanistan war and I though that on he's return I'd go on the patch . I used the patch for 4 months then we decided we wanted a baby , I've had 1 period in 3 months my tummy is sore and swollen my breasts swell and my nipples get sore but all the test are coming back negative! This is so frustrating for us both as we done know what's happening :( we have just moved into our family home but I'm so worried I won't be able to give him a family :'( x

I've been on different forms of birth control since I started high school, I started out with the pill & I got off because I wanted my body to be 'normal' & have regular periods. After the pill, I got the nuvaring which I took out because I was not sexually active at the time. I was having normal periods while using the pill & then the nuvaring. After getting off the nuvaring my periods were somewhat normal, after June, I didn't have my period until August 29, then I did not have it again. I got on the patch & HATED it. It left a rash on my skin, it caused my breasts to be super sore & grow excessively. When I took it off on the 4th week, I never started my period. & my doctor said to start taking my birth control pills on the Sunday after I start my period. But since I didn't start my period, I don't know if I'm still supposed to start the pills. My boyfriend & I are TTC and I just want my body to get back to normal...

Wow...this has me a little concerned now. I was thinking of going on the patch because I do not believe I can remember to take a pill every day, also I didn't like the side effects my sister recieved when she got the shot either. I thought remembering something once a week would be easy and also that I could control my period...But if it may cause problems with my cycle when I stop taking it, it may screw my chances of having children...Now I'm not certain if I should take it or not...
.

Sorry to let u know but the pill does the same thing :(

Hello,
I strayed using the patch for the same reasons as many of you. Not having to remember it everyday etc. I used it consistantly for about 5 months. I took it off due to the side effects it have me. I was bleeding inbetween for sometimes two weeks at a time, which meant I was bleeding 3 weeks of the month! I started using birth control when I was 13 after the discovery of ovarian cysts. The pill obviously doesnt allow you to ovulate so no cysts. I am now 20 and had stopped using birth control all together for two years then started the patch in May. It was good for a while aside from the fact it would leave a bad rash, itch, and was very unsightly. I stopped using it around October and got my period for 8 days after. Now my period is no where to be found but the symptoms are. I'm worried because my fiancé and I want kids shortly and I'm worried I won't be able to get pregnant for years! Help me!

I started the patch 3 weeks ago. During my three weeks of the patch, I started having intense cramps. They would last for about 10 or 15 seconds.. It would also hurt my private area.. But it would go away. Now that it's the fourth week I still haven't had a period. I know for sure that I'm not pregnant.

I was on the patch for only three weeks, I took it off and had a period.. then the next month had another period, but have not had one since. My periods were regular before the patch, so missing a period has me horrified. not sure what to do, will be going to the dr this wweek. Wish I had seen these postings before I ever tried it.

I had normal periods when I was on the patch. In July 2005, I got off the patch because I hated the way it made me feel. then I would have a period around every 4 or 5 months. However, I still haven't had my period and it has been 9 months. I am not pregnant, and have been to the doctor and all the tests came back fine. The doctor also gave me a shot of progesterone over a month ago, but no period. I wish I knew what was going on.

Hi girls,
I have been using the patch for a year, my husband and I decided to get pregnant again, so my last period was feb2012. Did not put the patch back it's almost April and do not have period yet. I have symptoms like cramps, tired, mood swing and bloated took pt and it's all negative, so I guess it's the effect of the patch. Going to call the doctor soon!

I took my patch off jan 2012. Did not have a period until march. It came on the day it was supposed to and ended like nornal. I havent started yet in april. Wont know if my periods are regular til i begin my period at the end of the month if it comes. I was on the patch when i was younger and i had a child afterwards so i know the patch dont make you not be able to have a child. Just might take a little longer to concieve. I didnt think about having a child then all of a sudden i became pregnant.! Hope this helps. Will keep u updated if i start at the end of april.
