I tried going off birth control and did not notice a change. My doctor tried an anti depressant with no changes. I spoke with my new doctor and she said that the hormones in birth control should help, but my libido is still next to nothing and plan to ask to try another brand.

Norinyl is good.... I have been on many..Norinyl has a balanced androgen level and it will not hurt your sex drive. It will also clear your skin and give you little side effects.

I'm on sprintec now and it sucks. I guess the way it truly works as a birth control is freaking decreasing your sex drive. Because sex now feels forced and i can only stand it once a month, which wasn't the case when i was on Beyaz it was normal, just my period was a little funny.

im on microgynon 30, and my sex drives getting lower and lower all the time, causing major problems with my fiance, were getting married this year and i want this to be sorted before the big day. going to the doctors soon to see if i can get a different prescription. any suggestions?

ok so used to have sex with my boyfriend (2 years) when we first started dating and it was great! but i was on a pill (cant think of the name now) and i have been off of it for about 6 months or so and i still have no libido.. and now its rare we do, i was never really a sexual person in the first place and idk im just weird i guess lol but idk what to do because i want to make him happy, and i feel like when got off the pill my mood swings have gotten worse? has anyone had that happen to them?

Yes hun come off the microgynon 30 i was on it, it was awful and killed my sex drive im on Brevinor now so give that a whirl. Saw my GP he was really nice about it as i was quite upset about the whole situation it was so bad i couldnt orgasm! Ask your doc for Brevinor!

I recently started on mononessa, and since I've been on it..I've noticed that I've been more aroused than when I was not on anything. It's really weird too. Seems like everyday I'm always shooken up [ in a good way ]with sexual desire, but I suppose that's just me. Besides, all of our bodies are different so it may just react differently. So I dunno.

I was on Modicon, then switched to Ortho Novum. Noticed a major decrease in my sex drive with both of these so I not only switched birth controls, but switched to a completely new doctor as well. She put me on Loestrin 24 Fe because she said the estrogen levels were lower and that is typically the reasoning behind losing sex drive. I was on that for about 4 months and didn't notice a difference so she prescribed Lo Loestrin. I absolutely hated that! Not only did I still have NO sex drive, but when my bf and I would have sex (the rare occasion, typically twice a month and that was forced sadly) it felt really really weird at first. Basically it would take a really long time for me to get in the mood at all and when he would touch me it didn't really hurt but just felt weird, very sensitive, not in a good way. We have been dealing with this no sex drive issue for about 4 years now and I have no idea what to do. I feel horrible that I am never aroused and like many of you have said, he thinks I am not attracted to him. We have talked A LOT about the issue and I am very open to him about how I'm feeling and the process of switching to different pills so we have definitely worked through all of that on the emotional side of things. It is still hard, but at least we aren't arguing about it anymore since we are talking about it openly now and he understands it is the pill. About 3 months ago I met with my doctor and decided to go off the pill completely just to see if the pill was what was causing me to lose my sex drive. I figured if nothing else at least I would know if it were the pill or me. Although that weird sensitive feeling has gone away, I still don't have a sex drive. After reading many of your comments I fear my sex drive is ruined for life because of being on the bc pill. I will be going to the doctors again soon to get back on some type of birth control because while I was off the pill we decided not to risk getting pregnant and didn't have actual intercourse, just substituted for lack of better, reader friendly words. Obviously we can't not have sex forever and we miss the intimacy so I have to be on some kind of bc until we decide to have children. We've been together for many many years and we will work through this, but need to find something to help. Thank you all for sharing your stories and I hope mine will help others like all of yours have helped me. It really is nice to know that I am not alone in this. I just wish none of us had to go through this hardship. It really is horrible and very stressful and sad. Good luck everyone!

I was on Junel Fe, and switched pharmacies recently and they gave me this instead...I was on junel Fe for about 3 months, and my breasts grew a whole cup size, and I lost a lot of weight... as for my sex drive, I have noticed only a slight bit of change. Sometimes making love is a bit painful, as even though I am aroused, I seem to be a bit dry...The pharmacy said it is the exact same medication, so not to worry, but I am still concerned. Also, scince taking birth control I have noticed mood swings, or lack of emotion, and then occationally, quite the opposite, my husband has certianly seen a difference in my attitude

I was on Tri-Sprintec, and stopped. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years now, sexually active for a little more than one. I started taking the pill so that me and my boyfriend could have sex, and it KILLED my sex drive. We went months without doing it, and when we did it wasn't...as BAM. Before I took the pill, I was extremely attracted to him and wanted to do things with him all the time. Not only did Tri Sprintec kill my libido, and made me irritable and VERY bitchy, and I was just...agitated. Constantly! I would recommend staying AWAY from this b/c.

Took Gianvi for my acne. It cleared my acne and it completely killed my sex drive. I didn't want to get up in the morning, I was depressed. I was always an A student and I just flunked this last semester. Awful awful awful. I stopped taking the pill when I stopped being able to orgasm; about half-way through the third month of pills. It's been three months now, and although I can reach orgasm again, my desire for sex is gone. Sexual activity doesn't seem worth the effort. I used to look at an attractive man and feel warm inside with butterflies in my stomach... Now, I feel nothing.

I'm getting something else prescribed tomorrow. Going to try norinyl, alesse, or aviane since they seem to be the only ones that people recommend here. Will post again in a few months after I've tried one of them. I've heard some good things about progesterone and testosterone creams. They seem to receive great reviews on Amazon as well. Two pills also have attracted good reviews; Femtia and Female Treasure. I will probably try one of those out as well. Good luck, ladies.

I'm 42 my baby days are done, tubes are tied and I had Novasure done. The Dr put me on lo loestrin Fe today because of some breakthrough spotting and Peri-menopause YAY for me 0_0 anyways I have a low sex drive to begin with. I was hoping this might turn it around, my husband is 37 I have no complaints in bed just no desire to get there. After what i've been reading I don't know if I want to take them :(

reading these has really helped me. I haven't even wanted to do ANYTHING recently. I love my boyfriend to death and used to be up for anything, but now it feels like a chore. I thought there was something wrong with me since my libido decreased at the age of 21! The only problem is I'm on the pill for cramps. If I get off then once a month I will be on the bathroom floor throwing up and passing out from dizziness if I try to stand. I NEED to find a pill that helps with my cramps and doesn't screw with my sex drive.

My husband and I have been married for 10 months, we are very much in love but my libido has decreased significantly once I started to generic for Ortho Tri Cyclin. It is really putting a strain on my marriage

I was on it for PCOS. I already had a pre-existing migrane condition which is why I stopped taking it.

DO NOT TAKE AVIANE--- I just got off of that death pill, major depression to the point of hating myself, anger, stress, bleed all the time absolutely hated my lift on that.
