I met a guy,who we were not and are not romantically involved. he sold me on an idea of converting a garage space to an apartment. He was great the first month. Now four months later he has done very little to finish the projuct. Come to find out he is bi-polar and got off hois meds. BLAH BLAH BLAH.

What I don't understand: do folks with bi-polar have no sence of responsibility? I got and still get promises from him that I once believed ans now I'm forced to rely on. I borrowed money from my sisiter on the promise I would start paying her back as soon as the place was rented, which i told her would be in Feb. It's now the begining of June and I'm under alot of pressure the get the job finished. I don;t ahve the fund and he doesn't seem motivated to do it and nothing I say of do motivates him. so what if he doesn;'t want to do it! I dont care for my job but I do it.

Again the question is:DO folks for a bi-polar disorder loose their sence of responsibility and if so why?

Yes. In a manic phase (where they will concieve of and perhaps erratically start grand projects or schemes - such as converting the garage into an apt)they see the big picture so to speak (it will be a cool place to live, help you live together etc) but miss out on the small yet important practical details such as getting the money for and putting by the time for the project's continuation.) They are percieving reality in a different and more intense rush than the non bipolar person.

It OFTEN may not be that they ARE truly irresponsible or uncaring, however they can become so out of touch with the 'down on the ground' realities that their behaviour leads them to act in an irresponsible or seemingly uncaring manner. So it's not that they don't feel care for you or responsibility - they are unaware or overlooking these issues due to their clouded judgement and the distraction caused by the intensity of the thoughts and feelings rushing through their brains.

Hope that sheds some light on the subject...

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
