also, i have adhd and wet my bed till i was 15 with occasional daytime accidents, so i guess im more prone to bed wetting. i wonder if alcohol induced bedwetting is more common later on in people with adhd?

Don’t know about adhd, but based on my experience an individual who wet the bed as a child is prone to it later in life after drinking. And, if you’re like me, this year it’s three glasses of wine, next year it’ll be somewhat less, and in time it’ll happen without alcohol.

i sometimes wet my bed with natural sleep enhancers like valerian root and melatonin, so i dont think its just alcohol. so i either dont sleep well and wake up dry but tired or i take pills/alcohol to sleep and wake up wet. doh

Ecept the present situation and take a simple remidy just as many of us had don, it's back into a nappy at night. That will keep everthing dry so no washing to do and give you a good nights sleep. Don't know if you have a wife but hopefully she will be suportive as she wount like being inthe same bed as you if your wet. Hope this helps, ask any questions you like as I'm always on here, Dean. I'm 20 yo male bed wetter.

You can easerly dispose of the used nappies. Good advice about the Dr. Dean.

You’ll be fine. Not every, but most nights I wear protection. And, to be safe, I always take precautions when sleeping away from home. Works for me. On the other side, in removing the hassle I’m convinced nappies have increased the frequency of my bed-wetting. Good luck.

Hi 34wet, hope they worked for you and you had a good nights sleep. Just throw that nappy away in the mornin g and get on with your life, ther is far more people the same as you than you will ever know so don't feel ashamed but just doing the senerble thing. Dean.

I agree WBx that wearing a nappy at night will encourage lazyness but if you are haveing regular accidents then this is the only, and sencerble, answer to a problem. You feel safe and there are no embarresing times when you have to go to stay else where. You sound a intelegent person, hope you stay and talk to us all on here. Dean.

Hi 34wet I used to have the same problem just without the adhd I had a few drinks not that many I wasn't wasted but I wet the bed the next day I used to wet the bed as a child as well Now I have stopped all together so yes wearing a nappy MIGHT be good to keep you dry but always remember you don't have to accept it getting worse you might get better speak to a dr

Alcohol always has that effect. The more beer I drink the wetter the bed in the morning but it doesn't worry me.

Good luck. hi. i wet more when i wear a nappy. i think its because i dont think about wetting the bed and go off into a much deeper sleep when iv got a nappy on. if i dont put a nappy on i sleep much lighter and dont get a good nights sleep and still wet but not as much. i think your right nappy wearing increases wetting. its a bit of a vicious circle. anyone else think the same

I also find if I keep one on during the day I am more likely to wet without realising so I don't wear during the day very often as I would soon end up totally incontient and although I enjoy my bedwetting I am not ready for uncontrolled daytime wetting just yet.
