Even a small amount of wee sloshing round would soon leak out and wet the bed. Richard.

If there is even a small amount of wee sloshing around in the plastic pants it will start to leak out at the waist or leg openings. It's just like disposables that have absorbent stuff in the middle and a waterproof cover, but with no absorbent stuff at the sides and no elastic waist and leg bands to help keep the wee in. Richard. hi its blake again cheers for explaining this to me i think i understand now. so you cant just wear the plastic pants as they dont hold the wee properly on thiere own. but equally the terry nappy dosent hold the wee in it just slowly absorbs the wee or soiling meaning you need to wear both. because the terry nappy absorbs the wee but the plastic pants stop the wee dribbling down your leg and allows the terry nappy time to absorb the wee. is that it. is that how the combination of the plastic pants and the terry nappy works. speak to you soon hopefully blake from luton

The reason that you need enclosed elastics in the plastic pants is so that the wet terry nappy don’t touch the elastic making it wet and the elastic would then touch your pjs or bed and make those a bit wet to. I’m 13 now and I’ve been wearing terry nappies and plastic pants for almost all of my life so I know quite a lot about them and they’re definitely a lot less likely to leak than disposables. The only bad thing is the amount of washing that needs to be done, but I don’t need to worry about that cause mum does the washing. Richard.

Richard. why not just use snap on nappies as i hear these are just as good as terry nappies and plastic pants. i also hear there are quite easy to wash too. why dont you use these types of nappies instead. because they are snap on nappies. it would mean you could put them on yourself. you would'nt need your mom to put them on for you. i also hear hear there are easy to put on as they just snap on like buttons or clips. blake from luton

A few weeks ago I was looking for washable nappies that I could put on myself that didn’t leak cause I was thinking that now I am a teenager it was a bit embarrassing for mum to be doing it still. Then Dean told me that lots of disabled teenagers’ nappies are changed by their mums so there was nothing to be embarrassed about. He should know cause he is a lot more disabled than me. At the time that I was searching, the only snap-on nappies that I found that would fit me were either disposables or some Chinese washable ones that looked as if they wouldn’t be thick enough or tight enough not to leak. The disposables wouldn’t have been any good because of my allergy, but I showed the photo of the Chinese ones to mum and she thought they would definitely leak as well. If you know of any that I haven’t seen, please let me know where to find them. My problem is that my Cerebral Palsy means that I can’t do anything really fiddly with my hands like pinning nappies on real tight. Richard.

Wade wrote: Richard. Deos your parents diaper you? It si so embarrassing. I was horrified teh first time. Hi Wade, my mum has to change my nappies cause I am partly disabled with Cerebral Palsy. I have walking difficulties and use a stick, and if we are going any distance I have to use a wheelchair. It also has some affect on my arms and hands, and the nerve connecting my brain to my bladder doesn’t work properly so I have no sensation of when I need a wee so it just comes out. The first I know about it if I am awake is when I feel that my nappy is wet and warm. In bed I just sleep through it. I’ve found out that lots of teenagers and adults with CP wet and wear nappies, but most of those are even more disabled than I am. I am 13 now but cause I’ve never been out of nappies I haven’t suffered the embarrassment of being put back into them like you have. In fact I just think of my nappies as being my normal underwear. Is there a medical cause for your wetting, and a reason why you can’t diaper yourself? Richard.

I wear diapers and plastic pants every night and often have to get up during the night and change. Last night I had a problem with leakage and had to change the sheets and wear my older brothers tee shirt as all of my pajamas and night gowns were in the wash. I am better prepared tonight.

i still have my 13 year old son in diapers all the time. Used to be just at night because hes a bedwetter but i recently decided to keep him in them all the time (i dont make him wear them to school though) but it includes when going out and yes this includes a swim diaper at the beach or swimming poll because its a lot easier and it makes him behave better and i dont have to worry about any accidents he may or may not have, he hates it and it makes him feel very babyish but he understands why its needed.
If anyone wants to know more feel free to email me at jackcarson92@msn.com

I have two cloth diapers and plastic panties on. I'm soaked and I soiled myself too. My mom doesn't know yet but when mom or her girlfriends find out they say oh oh, baby did poopies! Then they say ok stinky baby, its feet in the air time! At the mall or at the park they take me to the ladies bathroom and put me on the baby changing table. The other moms all see my messy bottom when they pull my plastic panties down and unpin my diapers. The moms with babies giggle when they see i soile myself.
