Hi everybody. Ya, it looks like this site has been kinda quiet for a while. I have been busy with school and the Thanksgiving stuff so I guess i just didn't get around to check things out either. This guy I kinda like has been asking me out a few times too so that kept me aways too. I am still having some very serious problems. Now that the weather is cooling down I find that I have more problems with day wetting and night time is a real problem. Like MAJOR problems with wet pajamas most the time (due to leakage). Hope everyone is having a good day. later gators

Hey Ashley!
There is this guy i kind of like, but i know he's not the most understanding and accepting person in the world, and i was just wondering if you've told you're boyfriend and if he was cool with it, or should i just not tell him because i only have problems at night and so long as we're not doing anything in bed, i should be fine without him knowing. and im not planning on going very far with him yet. and im not a slut or anything.
I was dry this morning! last night was probably the least hectic day and night ive had in a long time!
well, thats all for now, time to do homework and then off to work...

x I know you didnt ask me, but i'd like to give my opinion anyway... The way i see it, if he doesnt like it, that could end the relationship right there. If he doesnt mind, hes probably a good person to stay with. Cuz if he doesnt like you for that reason, what kind of bf is he? not one i would want...:-). Just my perspective

Hey Charlotte
Im 14 too, but ive bedwetted all my life. Welcome to the club. Nice to have a fellow Londoner (well coventry isnt far). You on the crazy NHS system? I am and its ridiculous. for 14 years it has just been, oh she will grow out of it, there is nothing we can do, and suddenly its all, oh there is this, and that, and this and that but its all about specialist hosiptals and stuff so its no big deal. arounf september they started me on this desmopressin stuff and its ok but it only works if i set an alarm and wake up too, which being overloaded by gcse stuff is not humanly possible. but there were these amazing 2 weeks before all the schoolwork started where i could sort myself out and get up at night, and i was dry everyday for those 2 weeks but ever since, its just hectic. so now in the xmas holidays i tried to do the same but there is holiday homeowrk and parties to go to, and sleepovers and stuff so ive only managed 3 dry nights, but im hoping for more. the only thing keeping my mum from booking all those hospital appointments is the hope of me sorting my life out again and repeating those 2 weeks, but this time for longer until i get used to it and dont have to get up by alarm. anyway aside form all my babbling. how are you? what year are you in? what do you like to do like hobbies and stuff. i like sports and art. have a nice xmas?
I hope everyone had a great christmas and new years! I hope the new year brings everything you wished for and more! Happy 2012, and maybe see some of you in London for the olympics.

Rachel wrote: Hey, I've had the same problem as you, first for many years when I was little and then it started again much more recently. I'm 25 and in grad school in the UK. I've tried all sorts of things, when I was little my mom even took me to an acupuncturis, which well was rather traumatic, as I'm not a needle person. Since then I've tried all sorts of other things, but the best thing is to talk to your GP. I recently tried several different drugs as my GP couldn't figure out what was causing the symptoms and the first drug she put me one was Oxybutynin which was really terrible, it made me really drowsy and clouded my brain which doesn't make doing school work very easy. So she recently prescribed me Desmopressin (I don't know the brand names), and I'm going to start on it on Monday. Has anyone else tried this drug, does it work? While you are waiting for a apointment with you GP or trying out different things definitly use the matress protector and be strong, but definitly talk to your GP, there's nothing ot be emberassed about. Yes, I took Desmopressin Acetate also. They have it either in nasal spray, or pill form. It works a little bit, but you still may have to wear a diaper b/c it's not very reliable. I'm a night time wetter, being that I sleep so heavy. Ever since I can remember, I have been wetting and i'm now 22. Every time I wake up wet, it breaks my heart a little more. Every one on this forum knows the pain associated with this condition, with sleepovers, siblings etc. I was looking into the bladder pin-up or sling surgery, but all of the commercials dissuaded me. I have never worn diapers, but that's something i'm going to look into. ANYONE HERE MARRIED, OR HAS A BOYFRIEND COHABITATING?? HOW DO YOU TELL THEM, ARE THEY ACCEPTING AND NON-JUDGMENTAL?? I have never met or heard of other adults or near adults still wetting the bed.. Guess I thought I was the only one..

Hey Blaq American Princess
Im not exactly an adult (im 14) but i have the exact same problem, and just like Rachel ive seen my GP and tried all sorts of remedies but i drew the line at accupuncture. and my mum is going crazy because im almost 15 and she is looking into every possible cure which is crazy because they range from drugs to smearing some stinky brown stuff on my back before bed. anyway, ive been taking the desmopressin for 4 months now and i still wear a diaper. but the desmopressin only works if i set an alarm and wake up too, which being overloaded by school stuff is not humanly possible so i wake up with a wet diaper too. but there were these amazing 2 weeks before all the school work started where i could sort myself out and get up at night, and i was dry everyday for those 2 weeks but ever since, its just hectic. so now in the xmas holidays i tried to do the same but there is holiday homework and parties to go to, and sleepovers and stuff so ive only managed 3 dry nights, but im hoping for more. the only thing keeping my mum from booking all those hospital appointments is the hope of me sorting myself out again and repeating those 2 weeks, but this time for longer until i get used to it and dont have to get up by alarm. it occasionally works without an alarm but its rare.
about the boy situation, there was this boy i liked and i knew he wasnt not the most understanding and accepting person in the world, but i didnt tell him because i only have problems at night and so long as we're not doing anything in bed, i should be fine without him knowing and im not a slut or anything but i dont like him anymore coz he turned out to be a real jerk.
i think if you are ready to commit you should tell him because if you live together he will find out one way or another, and if he really loves you it wont matter to him. i know thats really cliched but its true. he should like you for you not for your ability to not wet the bed. good luck!

Ok so I know a lot of girls have trouble getting to the bathroom on time cos last week I was in the mall with friends and I suddenly needed to go do I ran to the bathroom but ended up wetting my jeans it was so embarrassing. And 3 days ago I was playing soccer and on my way home I had an accident in my kit. I had an accident yesterday in my skirt so I'm considering wearing diapers. I just wanted to know how many other girls have this problem and if I should wear diapers?

Yeah I think I'm going to see my GP then hopefully I'll get referred to a urologist. I think I'll try wearing some for now as I woke up today wet again and wet myself in soccer training today that was so embarrassing I told my teammates that I just forgot to go before hand and it was an accident and when I got tackled I wet my pants. (at least we got a penalty and we won) I got a bit of friendly teasing but nothing much but it could be really bad if it happens again
